It’s time to come back to another comeback! The A’s have now won 26 of 33 games taking the first three games of the four-game series in Texas on comeback wins. Pitching hasn’t done it, but the A’s offense had to come back and get these wins, but eventually.

The A’s will need some help from their starting pitching to hold opponents early in the games. Closer Blake Treinen, who picked up his 26th save of the season on Wednesday night continues to shut the door. A’s designated hitter Khris Davis has gone deep six times since Sunday through Wednesday. No matter what you throw him, he can find it.

A’s play game four of this four-game series tonight in Arlington as they try to win their sixth straight game. It’s a classic match up–A’s Trevor Cahill (1-2) vs. Rangers starter Barolo Colon (5-8).

Running back Marshawn Lynch didn’t hit 400 yards in either 2015 or 2017, but Gruden knows that Lynch has game and will utilize Lynch who will get more carries this season. At wide out, Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson, Martauis Bryant, Ryan Switzer, and Seth Roberts are in the wide receiver core and we take a look at how Gruden sizes up his receivers.

Gruden is hoping that Carr can get time to throw how much confidence does he have in his offensive line to get Carr time?

The San Francisco Giants got a big break in the ninth inning on a Pablo Sandoval infield hit that Seattle Mariners second baseman Dee Gordon couldn’t handle the ball and threw it away past first baseman Ryon Healy to allow the Giants Steven Duggar to score from second base.

Sandoval came in as a pinch hitter for Chase d’Arnaud in the third inning earlier in the game and got an infield single that allowed Kelby Tomlinson to score. The Giants Hunter Pence hit his first home run of 2018 a 445 foot blast in thel leftfield upper deck.

The loss for the Mariners decreases the lead they had on the Oakland A’s down to just 1.1/2 games in the AL West and for a wild card spot. Giants pitcher Andrew Suarez pitched 5.2 innings, 3 runs, 8 hits, walked two batters and struck out one.

#1 The Oakland A’s wasted no time taking the first game of this current four-game series in Arlington with a 15-3 win on Monday night.

#2 A’s catcher Jonathan Lucroy belted a second inning grand slam to get the offense started. Lucroy gets his second home run of the season.

#3 The St. Louis Cardinals’ Daniel Poncedeleon threw no hit ball for seven innings and is MLB’s fifth pitcher to debut to go that far. Poncedeleon was lifted after the seventh due to the pitch count. He hit 116 pitches.

#4 The San Francisco Giants, who lost two three-game series to the Oakland A’s, will be in Seattle starting tonight. The Mariners are going red-hot second place in the AL West and have been tough customers in the first half of the season.

#5 He might not be able to pitch, but the Los Angeles Angels’ Shohei Ohtani went deep, hitting a 435-foot shot to center for his eighth home run on Monday night.

The Oakland A’s Matt Chapman helped getting the gamer in extra innings Sunday at the Oakland Coliseum in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the A’s a one-run win, 6-5, over the San Francisco Giants. Chapman hit a ball that went off Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford’s foot and allowed the game-winning run to score.

With the loss to the A’s, the Giants are now five games back behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers. How much of a setback is it for the Giants to lose two series to the A’s in two weeks in the month of July?

A’s starter Sean Manaea had a quality start–not allowing a base runner until the Giants’ Nick Hundley singled with two outs in the top of the fifth inning. Giants starter Johnny Cueto threw for seven innings, four runs, six hits, walked two and struck out three.

A’s Khris Davis continues to rake hitting a two-run home run that was the first of three homers of Cueto.

#1 San Francisco Giants starter Dereck Rodriguez went 6.1 innings Friday night against the Oakland A’s and held the A’s to just one run in the Giants’ 5-1 win at AT&T Park.

#2 MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has talked about the universal designated hitter, while there are a good number of players in the National League who do not like the DH Manfred said momentum is gaining that the DH will be enacted sooner than later.

#3 The Boston Red Sox got a 1-0 shutout over the Detroit Tigers on Friday. The Red Sox Steve Pearce hit an RBI double and David Price pitched a four hitter past the Bengals.

#4 The Seattle Mariners gained a full game on the Oakland A’s with a 3-1 win over the Chicago White Sox. Mariners starter Wade LeBlanc and two relievers helped stop the Sox for five hits in the win.

#5 Cleveland keeps rolling now–8.5 on top of the Minnesota Twins. The Twins who were defeated by Cleveland on Friday night 6-5 need these games to knock down some of  Cleveland’s lead.

Oakland A’s podcast with Joey Friedman: A’s Jackson tries to avenge from last week’s loss to Giants tonight

The Oakland A’s open up a three-game series starting tonight at the Oakland Coliseum with A’s starter Edwin Jackson 1-1, who is on the upside of his career, when you compare it with San Francisco Giants starter Dereck Rodriguez, who is 4-1 and the son of former catcher and Hall of Famer Pudge Rodriguez.

Jackson, who’s on his 13th MLB team, has done a very nice job in the starting role for the A’s, and in his last start, he faced the Giants at AT&T Park last weekend in game one of the Bay Bridge Series before the All-Star Break.

Jackson pitched for six innings and gave up two runs and ended up losing that game to the Giants. Jackson looks to improve his performance against the Giants. Jackson doesn’t have the best numbers against the Giants, but it’ll be interesting to see what Jackson can do against the Giants to open the Bay Bridge Series at the Coliseum tonight.
