#1 Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza 97 yards one touchdown did he get some good looks, Mendoza hit Jeff Bech for a six yard pass in the Raiders first pre season game losing to the visiting Arizona Cardinals 27-14 at Allegiant Stadium.

#2 It was the first time that a top overall draft pick that was selected threw a touchdown in a pre season game since 2018 when Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield threw two touchdowns against the New York Giants.

#1 San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan suffered a broken nose, a concussion, broken ribs, broken left hand, stitches for a cut above his right eye from his air bag inflating and got cut by his gararge door opener that was hanging on his sun visor when he caused a car accient.

#2 Shanahan said on Tuesday during a press confrence in his office that he had taken his eyes off the road while going 20 MPH and got into a head on collision and Shananhan said he’ll never forget how violent the crash when he collided with the woman driver of the other car.

#3 Shanahan on Tuesday while talking to the media wanted to clear up the story after 11 days since the accident that the fault of the accident was his and not to blame the other driver.

#1 Michael, Aldon Smith the former San Francisco 49er, Oakland Raider, and Dallas Cowboy defensive lineman who passed away on Saturday at 36 had a history of drinking related issues was it any surprise to hear about his passing?

#2 Smith played six years in the NFL with the 49ers, Raiders, and Cowboys and was selected seventh in 2011 by the 49ers in the NFL draft.

#3 The 49ers said in a statement upon learning of the passing of Aldon Smith, “Aldon’s undeniable talent and sheer dominance on the field were on display from the moment he joined our organization, having recorded one of the best rookie seasons the National Football League has seen.” The 49ers continued saying that they were devestated by Smith’s passing at age 36.

#4 In Smith’s rookie season with the 49ers he had 14 sacks and 27 quarterback hits. Smith placed second place for the Defensive Rookie of the Year balloting. In his second year Smith in 2021 had his best year with 19.5 sacks and got to the quarterback with 29 hits. Smith also got Pro Bowl and All Pro honors. Smith’s sacks that year remains a 49es franchise record.

#5 Smith had numerous off field issues that saw him getting arrested ten times in nine years. He was arrested for DUI in 2021 in Maimi. In 2013 Smith was arrested in San Jose when he crashed his car into a tree. Smith had been arrested in October 2013 for three felonies for illegal assault weapon charges. Smith was suspended by the NFL for nine game in 2014 for the NFL’s personal conduct and substance abuse policies. On Aug 7, 2015 Smith had a third DUI charge and was released by the 49ers. Smith was suspended for nine games for violations of the NFL’s personal conduct and substance abuse policies and a third DUI arrest. He was released by the 49ers a day after he was arrested on hit and run, DUI and vandalism charges.
