Manaea’s role will be he will follow the starting pitcher pitching mulitiple innings. The Mets announced their starting rotation from one to five, Freddy Peralta, David Peterson, Nolan McLean, Clay Holmes, and Kodai Senga.
#3 The Pittsburgh Pirates continue to find talented players, shortstop 19 year old Konnor Griffin is one of them although he will have to wait according Bucs manager Don Kelly who said the decision to leave Griffin off the opening day roster was extremely difficult. Griffin is the No.1 prospect but will sent down to triple A to start the season.
#4 Charlie wanted to get your take of the announcement that the Sacramento A’s will start Luis Severino opening day against the Toronto Blue Jays on Fri Mar 27th. Severino is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA this spring. In two games Severino has pitched seven innings, surrendered three hits, one run, and struck out ten hitters. How do you like Severino’s chances this upcoming season?

The Raiders were shutout in the first and third quarters. The Raiders defense were having a decent game they shutout the Browns in the first and third quarters but it wasn’t enough to close the game out in a 14 point loss at home.
#3 The Texas Department of Public Safety released on Friday details of how former defensive end of the Dallas Cowboys Marshawn Kneeland detail from police body camera, dash camera, and drone videos after officer had found Kneeland dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound in early November. In a police pursuit Kneeland crashed his pick up truck and took off on foot. Police using K-9s searched buildings, wooded areas and even water ducts. Even Kneeland’s girlfriend was looking for him. Kneeland’s body was found in a portable toilet outhouse between two office buildings in Frisco Texas.
#4 The San Francisco 49ers had voided wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s contract worth $27 million for the 2026 season. The question had been about Aiyuk’s future with the 49ers and was he who wanted to void the contract so he can become a free agent in 2026 or was it the 49ers idea to part company with him. “I’ve been coaching over 20 years, and I’ve never been in a situation where a contract’s been voided,” Shanahan said. “It’s extremely unusual to me.”
#5 Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow did not play on Sunday against the New England Patriots the Patriots announced on Saturday. Burrow is suffering from turf toe and has not played since week two. Burrow did practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The Bengals had a game on Sunday and also on Thanksgiving day. While it’s reported that Burrow is close to returning when according to the Bengals is the real question.

The home run was a 403 foot shot that he parked into the Dodgers grand stands in left field. Ohtani also scored his 140th run of the season a career high.
#2 Cal Raleigh slugged his 57th home run of the season that moved him past former Seattle Mariner Ken Griffey the most home runs by a Mariner in a season. Griffey in 1997 hit 56 home run that achievement got Griffey got him near unanimous induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.
#3 Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout hit his 400th career home run on Saturday night against the Colorado Rockies. Trout who is an 11 time All Star hit the 485 shot in the eighth inning against the Colorado Rockies that was deposited into the left center field stands. The Angels got the win 3-0 which snapped a eight game skid for the Halos.
#4 New York Yankee Giancarlo Stanton says his 450th home run is a nice round number that he hit on Saturday night against the Baltimore Orioles on the way to a 6-1 win. Stanton now now has played in 1719 games joining Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Alex Rodriguez and Harmon Killebrew who got to 450 faster than Stanton.
#5 The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Minnesota Twins 8-0 for their tenth win in a row on Saturday and swept a doubleheader shutting out the Twins twice in front game and in the night cap. The Guardians have now won 15 of their last 16 games and are closing in on first place Detroit in the AL Central. How much of that speaks to the great job that Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt has done someone you spoke with often when he used to play in Oakland?

#1 Philadlephia Phillies star pitcher Zack Wheeler underwent surgery this past week to have a blood clot removed from his throwing shoulder. Wheeler is expected to miss the remainder of the season and his recovery is expected to be six to eight months and is expected to return by opening day 2026.
#2 Bubba Chandler was all the rage at PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Friday night as the 22 year old rookie pitched in his first big league game entering in the top of the sixth inning against the Colorado Rockies. Chandler is a top prospect and came through in relief pitching four innings, not allowing a a run, two hits and striking out three.
#3 On Friday the Tampa Bay Rays Carson Williams hit a home run and was 2-4 with three RBIs in his big league debut on his second day in the show. Williams said in the Rays post game show, “It’s every kid’s dream, and it just got even better.”
#4 Former Oakland Athletic and New York Met pitcher Frankie Montas has been placed on the 15 day IL with a right elbow UCL injury on Friday. Montas so far is 3-2 ERA 6.28 in nine games and had started in seven games. The Mets are six games back in the NL East behind the Philadelphia Phillies.
#5 Friday the Sacramento A’s got close but not enough as they were edged out by the Seattle Mariners 3-2. The M’s Bryan Woo pitched effectively enough to keep the A’s in check going a strong seven innings allowing one hit, one earned run, and seven strikeouts. The A’s who had just swept the Minnesota Twins got cooled off by some good pitching in Seattle.
#6 The A’s came right back on Saturday to even the series with a 2-1 win behind the great pitching of starter Jefferey Springs who pitched 5.1 allowed two hits and one earned run.

#2 New York Yankees reliever Devin Williams battled against the Houston Astros in a 5-3 loss on Friday night allowing three runs in the tenth inning. The Astros Carolos Correa got a base hit and Taylor Trammell hit a two run home run for a 5-2 score. Williams has allowed four home runs in his last eight appearances.
#3 Hall of Famer and former New York Yankee Mariano Rivera tore his Achilles tendon while chasing a fly ball at an Old Timer’s game on Saturday. Rivera will need surgery. Mariano’s agent Fern Cuza said that Rivera who is 55 will have the operation in less than a week.
#4 Former Seattle Mariner Ichiro Suzuki has his No.51 retired in a pregame ceremony in Seattle before facing the Tampa Bay Rays. Ichiro said to the crowd, “What’s up Seattle!” and added “Iam so grateful to be here today to receive this highest of honors.”
#5 Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani hit his 40th home run of the season on Saturday night against the Toronto Blue Jays in a 9-1 win. Ohtani hit a 417 foot shot off Jays starter Chris Bassitt which gave the Dodgers a three run lead.
