#2 The New York Islanders (27-15-4) got a three goal win over New Jersey (18-22-7) 4-1. Isles goals by Anders Lee, who scored twice (17 & 18), Michael Dal Colle (1) and Jordan Eberle (11).

#3 The New York Rangers (20-20-7) over the Chicago Blackhawks (16-24-9) 4-3. The Rangers got goals from Filip Chitil (8), Mats Zucarello (8), Chris Kreider (22), and Mika Zibanejad (15).

#4 The Toronto Maple Leafs (29-15-2) got a two-goal win over the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2. Goals by the Leafs Nazem Kadri (10), Patrick Marleau (11), Mitchell Marner (19), and Zach Hyman (8).

#5 The Winnipeg Jets (31-14-2) got a big win over the Nashville Predators (28-17-4) 5-1. Brenden Lemieux scored two goals for Winnipeg his fourth and fifth for the season.

#1 The Sacramento Kings took a tough 114-95 loss in Charlotte Thursday night to the Hornets. The Hornets’ Kemba Walker led with 23 points. The Kings drop their road record to 9-12.

#2 The Washington Wizards just got by the New York Knicks 101-100. The Wizards Bradley Beal had 26 points for Washington.

#3 The Philadelphia 76ers piled up the points for a 120-96 win over the Indiana Pacers. The Sixers’ Jimmy Butler led with 27 points.

#4 The Toronto Raptors beat the Suns 111-109 in Toronto. The Raptors’ Pascal Siakam had 10 points to lead Toronto in scoring.

#5 The Denver Nuggets knocked off the struggling Chicago Bulls 135-105. The Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic led with 18 points.

#2 The Sharks took a three-goal loss, considering how good they’ve been on defense was a surprise.

#3 The Yotes kept it up in deuces, scoring twice in each of the first, second and third periods.

#4 The Sharks got just one goal in each the first, second and third periods to fall short.

#5 The Sharks will shake this one off in Glendale as they head to Tampa Bay to face off with the Lightning on Saturday.

#1 The San Jose Barracuda (28-8-1-3) got back on track with a win over the Stockton Heat (16-18-3-0) Sunday at SAP Center 2-1. They scored two unanswered goals.

#2 Both goaltenders did a good job holding off the offense for the first 19 minutes in a shutout showdown–the Barracuda’s Antoine Bibeau (9-5-3) and the Stockton Heat’s Jon Gillies (5-11-3).

#3 The Cuda picked up a goal with 11 seconds left in the first period from Antti Suomela for a top-shelf goal at 19:49.

#4 As Gillies was screened in the third period, the Cuda’s Alex True passed to Kyle Wood, who shot a wrister for his third goal of the season, which proved to the game-winner.

#5 The Barracuda go at it again on Friday night at SAP, hosting the Texas Stars, the Dallas Stars’ affiliate, a 7:00 pm puck drop.

#2 NFL Championships game and the road to the Super Bowl. London makes his predictions: New England and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.

#3 In the NFC Championship: The Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints. One of these teams are just one game shy of getting into the Super Bowl.

#4 The Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will be replacing the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers in the Pro Bowl. In the regular season, Luck completed passes 67.3 percent of the time for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns.

#5 The NHL All-Star game will be in San Jose on Saturday, January 26 without Alex Ovechkin, who’s the Washington Capitals star.
