#1 What’s scary about the Barracuda is they can’t hold a lead past the third period. What does head coach Roy Sommer need to do to correct that?

#2 A four-goal period can really do a lot of damage and Tucson has in the postseason and now in the regular season put an offensive flurry on the Barracuda.

#3 To start the game, the Barracuda’s Joel Kellman sent a pass over to Thomas Gregoire, whose shot was initially saved by Roadrunners goalie Adin Hill. Joachim Blichfeld grabbed the puck on a rebound and scored the Cuda’s first goal of the game.

#4 Sommer said after the game: “Unfortunately, the game is 60 minutes and we only played 40 of it.” There have been some games where time just ran out for San Jose.

#5 The Barracuda take on the Bakersfield Condors who they last played on Wednesday, Oct. 30th in a day game and shut them out 5-0. This game is on the road, could the Cuda expect the same kind of offense in this one Saturday night?

#1 The Oakland Raiders just got by the Detroit Lions Sunday 31-24 at the Oakland Coliseum. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns. One of the big throws for Carr was his pass to Hunter Renfrow that gave the Raiders a go-ahead lead and eventual win.

#2 What a Thursday Night Football it was for the San Francisco 49ers in their win over the Arizona Cardinals 28-25, a narrow win, but it kept them undefeated at 8-0. Seeing that that was a close game, could their contest coming up in Santa Clara against the Seattle Seahawks be a close one, too, on Monday Night Football?

#3 The Sacramento Kings won their second straight game on Sunday night against the New York Knicks 113-92 at Madison Square Garden. It was a much-needed win for the Kings after suffering a five-game losing streak before their first two wins.

#4 The announcement came in October about the MLS coming to Sacramento in 2022 and the partners of the Sacramento Republic are excited to bring Major League Soccer to the state capital, which could bring a new rivalry between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Republic.

#5 The San Jose Sharks star player Evander Kane is being sued by the Cosmopolitan Casino in Las Vegas for $500,000, a gambling debt that goes back to the NHL playoffs when the Sharks were in Vegas back in April. Will the publicity of the debt create a disruption for the Sharks going forward?

#1 After five straight losses, the Sharks (5-10-1) are back in the win column picking up a 4-2 win on Tuesday night at SAP Center against the Chicago Blackhawks.

#2 How relieving was a game like this for head coach Peter DeBoer? Did he have to be concerned after the team strung so many loses together?

#3 The Sharks offense took advantage with two goals in each of the second and third periods and goaltender Marty Jones held the Hawks to 19 saves out of 21 shots. Evander Kane scored a short handed goal was not distracted after all the publicity all regarding the $500,000 owed to Las Vegas Casino Comopolitan.

#4 How big was it for Timo Meier and Tomas Hertl to get a goal each and an assist apiece?

#5 The Hawks got on the scoreboard with two goals by Duncan Keith and Brandon Saad in the third period, but fell short and ran out of time.

#1 Charlie, the Kings have been battling like crazy to get that second win in a row at Madison Square Garden with a win over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

#2 The Knicks are a struggling team. Was this a game that Kings head coach Luke Walton had a clear plan for?

#3 The Kings held the Knicks to 92 points, a good way to get some defense to start the road trip.

#4 The Kings’ De’Aaron Fox scored 24 points, Buddy Hield got 22, the offense got some good rhythm and being on the road was a good time to do it.

#5 It’s on to Toronto and the World Champion Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Toronto is 4-2. Can the Kings make a game out of this?

#1 Oakland A’s third baseman Matt Chapman received the Gold Glove Award with first baseman Matt Olson. Chapman had a .981. fielding percentage and Olson had .993.

#2 Chapman saved 17 runs that led MLB third basemen in defense in runs saved.

#3 Olson saved 13 runs leading all first basemen in the show in defense.

#4 It’s the first time since 1980 and 1981 that the A’s had two players win the Gold Glove in back to back years. Who were they? Centerfielder Dwayne Murphy and pitcher Mike Norris.

#5 The A’s have developed some great defensive players who got nominated for Gold Gloves — infielder Marcus Semien and left fielder Robbie Grossman.

calbears.com: Cal Bears Bednarik Semifinalist Award candidate Evan Weaver (89) goes in for the tackle as Weaver and the Bears prepare for the Washington State Cougars Saturday, November 9th.

On the Cal Bears podcast with Morris:

#1 The Bears (4-4) were dismantled in their last game on both sides of the ball in Utah (7-1) 35-0, a shutout, a beating the Bears haven’t experienced this season.

#2 In the game in Utah, Bears quarterback Spencer Brasch threw 7-19 for 47 yards and the Bears simply didn’t get any yardage in the game in Utah.

#3 On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears defense was like butter for the Utes, who scored five touchdowns on the Bears in the first three quarters.

#4 In the fourth quarter, the Utes didn’t score a touchdown and played the bench. Was it their version of the mercy rule since the score was already 35-0?

#5 The Bears host the Washington State Cougars (4-4). It could very well be the Bears best chance at getting back in the win column. They haven’t won since Sept 21st against Ole Miss.
