#1 As a consequence of Sunday’s brawl between the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves resulted in suspensions three for Detroit and two for Minnesota the NBA announced on Tuesday. The Pistons center Isaiah Stewart was suspended two games, teammates Marcus Sasser and Ron Holland II was suspended a game each. Minnesota’s Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid were suspended one game.

#2  The Phoenix Suns Kevin Durant sprained his ankle against the Houston Rockets on Sunday and is not expected back during the current three game road swing. The Suns began their trip on Tuesday in Miwaukee, Friday in Boston, and on Sunday against New York to close out the road trip. Durant is expected to miss a week.

#3 If things weren’t tough enough for the New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williams and guard CJ McCollum will be out for the rest of the season. Williamson has a lower back injury that he suffered on Mar 19th against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Williamson will now play less than 30 games or fewer this being the fourth time in the last six years. McCollum was injured on Mar 23. McCollum scored 40 points when he got injured and will go through a rehab program of treatment and rest said the Pelicans.

#4 The Boston Celtics set a franchise record going 6-0 on Monday with a 117-103 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Celtics have now won eight in a row overall and are 32-7 and are just two wins away from Golden State’s NBA record. The Celtics had that win streak record snapped getting clobbered Wednesday night 124-103.

#5 The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 27 points, 12 assists, in 27 minutes. The Thunder defeated the Chicago Bulls 145-117 on Monday night for their tenth win in a row. The Thunder are having a great season with a overall record of an impressive 63-12.

#1 Charlie, The New Orleans Pelicans Zion Williamson is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury he suffered the injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday he checked himself out of the game but returned and scored 23 points. Williamson didn’t play on Friday against the Orlando Magic. Williamson has missed four games this season. Since signing with the Pelicans in 2019 he’s missed 210 games out of 400 regular season games.

#2 The Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo was critical of the Bucks loss to the New York Knicks Friday night at Madison Square Garden 116-94. The Bucks previously had a six game losing streak before beating the Utah Jazz on Thursday but turned around and lost to the Knicks on Friday. Antetokounmpo said after the loss to New York “Did we compete the previous game? Yes. Did we compete the two [games before that]? Yes. Did we compete today? No,” Do you see Giannis getting discouraged and there is talk about the Bucks making some trades could Antetokounmpo want out of Milwaukee?

#3 The NBA announced on Saturday that Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been suspended for 3 games for shoving a reporter Marcus Hayes of the Philadelphia Inquirer in the Sixers locker room following the October 23rd game for reporting that Embiid was not prepared for the season and Hayes had mentioned Embiid’s son and deceased brother in the article. The suspension has delayed Embiid’s much anticipated debut for the season.

#4 The Cleveland Cavaliers are smoking hot right now. They won their tenth straight game and scored 110 points or more in each of those ten games defeating the Golden State Warriors 136-117 on Friday night. Ironically the Warriors were the last team to start a season at 10-0 back in the 2015-16 season. The Cavs Kenny Atkinson said that he was concerned before the game playing a championship team like the Warriors but after the game said the Cavaliers are a prepared and hungry team.

#5 The Los Angeles Clippers Norman Powell was the difference maker on Friday night against the Sacramento Kings scoring 31 points with 12 rebounds in the Clippers 107-98 win at Golden One Center in Sacramento. James Harden added 22 points the Clips offense overshadowed the efforts of the Kings De’Aaron Fox with 31 points, Domantas Sabonis with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Big win for the Clippers, tough loss for the Kings.

#1 Jeremiah, the New Orleans Pelicans will be without their leading star player Zion Williamson who suffered a left ham string injury and is expected to be out for the next two weeks.

#2 The Kings who face the Pelicans tonight in New Orleans for the Play In game had two of their key players out last Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk. Monk said he was impressed by his replace Keon Ellis last Tuesday.

#3 The Pelicans lost Williamson on Tuesday in their play in game against the Los Angeles Lakers losing 110-106 in New Orleans. With Williamson out of the line up how much of leg up does that give the Kings.

#4 Hureter out for the season and Monk out the Kings will be looking for Murray, DeAaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, and Domantas Sabonis to shore up the offense against a potent Pelicans team.

#1 The one game that stands out for the Cal Bears is the loss they took against the Washington Huskies getting walloped 87-52. That got Cal head coach Mark Fox to regroup and the Bears came out and won their next two games against some tough schools Utah and Colorado.

#2 The Stanford Cardinal got a huge win over the Colorado Buffaloes 72-64. The Cardinal are No.21 and got help from leading scorer Bryce Wills who played with a sore ankle and led with a key lay up and 19 points in the win on Sunday.

#3 San Francisco Giant catcher Buster Posey feels like he’s back into the swing of things and a good example of that is when he went yard after hitting a two run home run in the third inning of a spring training game on Sunday against San Diego. He’ll be crucial for the Giants line up.

#4 While sitting on the bench and waiting to get the okay to return to action Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry is hoping to get back in the line up for Golden State from his broken bone in his left hand.

#5 It was almost like a one on one contest when the New Orleans Pelicans Zion Williamson who finished with 35 points against the Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James with 34 in the Lakers win over the Pelicans 122-114 on Sunday.
