#1 San Francisco 49ers Mike LaFleur, who is the running game coordinator, and the Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LeFleur are brothers who will face each other on Sunday Night Football at Levi’s Stadium proving coaching runs in the family.

#2 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo might have to throw to receiver with less than 19 catches through the first ten games of the season due to injuries, which will be a tall task against Green Bay on Sunday.

#3 The receivers that most likely may or may not play Sunday are tight end George Kittle (ankle), wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder), and Emmanuel Sanders wide receiver (ribs).

#4 The 49ers are also missing running back Matt Breida (ankle), kicker Robbie Gould (quadriceps), defensive end Dee Ford (hamstring). All are out this Sunday how much will the 49ers miss them in the line up.

#5 Lastly, Joe tells us how the 49ers and Packers shape up on Sunday Night Football.

#1 Jerry, we’ll start with football first. The Cardinal are coming off two loses going into the Big Game at Stanford this Saturday. Are their any concerns that head coach David Shaw should have going into this one?

#2 In the those two losses, the Cardinal were really taken out of their last game with a 49-22 loss to Washington State University. Will defense be a concern for Stanford?

#3 The Cardinal’s quarterback David Mills threw 33 for 50, for 504 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions he got lost of yards against the Cougars. Is this something that could be of an advantage against a struggling Cal team who has lost three of their last four?

#4 The Stanford Cardinal men’s basketball team is racking up the wins they did it again on Tuesday night against Maryland Eastern Shore with a 76-55 win and controlled the offense for most of the game.

#5 The Cardinal host William and Mary Tribe tonight. The Cardinal have now won four straight are undefeated and dominated in their last game. Jerry tells us how Stanford will do in this one.

San Jose Barracuda podcast with Marko Ukalovic: After snapping 6-game skid, Barracuda look to start winning steak

#1 Marko, you mentioned in your last column, head coach Roy Sommer like most coaches will usually take away some privileges from the players when a team goes bad, the Cuda had a six-game losing streak going into Saturday’s night’s game and whatever the motivation was it worked.

#2 The Barracuda came out firing on all cylinders against the visiting Tucson Roadrunners and won it on a laugher 7-1 to snap the losing streak.

#3 The 408 jerseys were gold and had a City of San Jose emblem on the front of the sweater and they looked like a different team and came out firing from the start of the game.

#4 Sommer said after the game that the Barracuda played all 60 minutes from start to finish an impressive effort.

#5 Tonight, the Barracuda are at SAP Center to face off against the Roadrunners again. Do you see them having that same drive in this one or will the Roadrunners be fired up after their Saturday humiliation?

San Jose Sharks podcast with Len Shapiro: Oilers pile on for 3-goal 1st period as Sharks’ win streak snaps at 6

#1 Len, the Sharks just completely melted down early in this game and never had any gumption to get back into it.

#2 Talk about the Oilers’ offense, they attacked in the first period with the first three goals. Sounds like they had a game plan and maybe the advantage was they just saw the Sharks last Tuesday.

#3 The Oilers got some scoring help from Connor McDavid, Markus Granlund, Jujhar Khaira, Zack Kassian, James Neal, for the 5-2 win at SAP Center.

#4 Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen allowed two Sharks goals, but otherwise stopped and saved enough shots to keep the Sharks out of it..

#5 The Sharks play in Las Vegas next at the T-Mobile Arena against the Vegas Golden Knights, a team that always gives the Sharks fits.

Stanford Cardinal Overwhelm the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks 76-55

STANFORD — The Stanford Cardinal had very little trouble beating the visiting team fro Maryland Eastern Shore. The University, part of the University of Maryland system, is a historically Black college with an enrollment of 2862 students. The college is located in Princess Anne, Maryland.

The Cardinal rushed out to a 14-1 advantage early in the first half. The Hawks’ first three points were free throws. They didn’t score their first basket until 8 minutes were played. Stanford continued to dominate play on both ends of the court. The offense finished the first half with a 30-point lead 46-16. Stanford’s Oscar Da Silva led the Cardinal offense.

In the second half, the young men from Maryland Eastern Shore regrouped and made a run to get back in the game. It was not easy as they were down by thirty points. The Hawks came out and went on a 13-3 run. They were helped by Stanford’s sloppy play early in the second half. The Hawk cut the deficit to 49-29. Stanford righted the ship behind the play of Isaac White and Jaiden Delaire. Stanford led again by thirty 69-39. It was at this point in the game that Stanford’s head coach Jerod Haase inserted players from the bench. The Cardinal won their fifth in a row to win 76-55.

Game Notes: The Cardinal improved to 5-0 while Maryland Eastern Shore remained winless, and their record is now 0-5.

The Cardinal had four players in double figures. They were led bt Jaiden Delaire. Delaire had 21, Oscar da Sila 16, Spencer Jones 12, and Tyrell Terry 10.

The Hawks’ Canaan Bartlet led the team with 10. No other player from Maryland Eastern Shore was in double figures.

Up Next: The Cardinal returns to action Thursday night at Maples Pavilion to face the Team from William and Mary University. The game will start at 7 pm.

#1 The San Francisco 49ers cut it close in their last two games vs. Seattle and Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals in a last minute comeback touchdown to squeak it out.

#2 The Oakland Raiders just got by the Cincinnati Bengals in a 17-10 win. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw 25-29, 292 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.

#3 A tough loss in New Orleans as the Golden State Warriors dropped a 108-100 contest to the Pelicans Sunday but tonight they finally pulled off a win against the Memphis Grizzlies 114-95 ending a seven game loss streak.

#4 The Sacramento Kings just got by the Boston Celtics 100-99. The Kings have to thank Buddy Hield, who scored 35 points on Sunday at Golden 1 Center.

#5 The #3 Stanford women came up with a huge victory over Gonzaga 76-70 in overtime. Lexie Hull scored 20 points of 22 after halftime.

In the media world we live today, where 24-hour news cycles are furious and non-stop, it seems like a decade ago since the last time Colin Kaepernick threw for a touchdown pass. Did we forget that his college career was a great success? He is the only player in NCAA history to pass for over 10,000 yards and rush for over 4,000 yards in college. He is the greatest player in the history of the University of Nevada football.Then, as a professional, he led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl in his second season.

Recently, Kaepernick was getting another chance. A workout for 26 teams. It has been more than three seasons he has not played in the NFL. His biggest enemy is his ego. Let us don’t forget the fact he was a backup when the 49ers decided to let him go. When you are a backup in the NFL,you are not as big as you might think you are, in this case, Kaepernick. He has also made over $40 million from the NFL,not to shabby for a guy that today is not remembered as a very good football player but the man “that took a knee and became world famous.”

At the time, Kaepernick took the knee and started a conversation in the country,which depends on your opinion, I defended his rights to free speech as an American citizen, and I said in an interview with Telemundo (Channel 48) that although I did not agree with his action, he had all the right in world to do what he did, as unpopular as it was. You might call me “old fashioned.” but I believe sports is truly a escape from the real world, and politics should not be mixed with sports. It is as simple as that. He could have called a press conference, at any time and place to give his opinion.

Kaepernick should understand that the NFL is a business and businesses stay in business only when they make a profit. The NFL is not a non-profit organization. It is capitalism. This recent workout was a debacle because his inability to understand he is just a guy that played in a popular league, that at the end respected but not agreed with his actions on the field. He is not bigger than the sport. When he played, he was an employee, not an owner.

In the end, how the league organized a workout for the quarterback was a fiasco. He still very much toxic to the NFL.

He is 32 years old in a sports league where the average career is between three to four years. His time might have passed or might have not.

The question remains: Will Colin Kaepernick ever throw another pass?
