#3 The 49ers kick off against former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Sam Darnold. Darnold in week one against the New York Giants was pretty much in control avoiding the Giants rush and able to hit his targets going 19-24 for 208 yards and two touchdowns. #3 The 49ers are set to open the season on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara. Jets quarterback Aaron Rogers in last season’s opener got injured for the rest of 2023 he’s hoping to be able to finish the 2024 without a hitch.

On Sat Aug 31st, 17 year old from Tracy (a 90 minute drive) came to San Francisco with the intention of robbing someone picked the wrong guy a San Francisco 49ers number one Ricky Pearsall draft pick. Suspect tried to hold up only to end up getting into a wrestling match over his gun with Pearsall. Pearsall toughed it out walked to the ambulance under his own power and miraculously was later released from the hospital on Sunday. Dave Zizmor podcasts all the latest.

#1 Dave, San Francisco 49ers first round draft choice Ricky Pearsall’s release from San Francisco General was nothing short of a miracle some 24 hours after getting shot on Saturday afternoon at 77 Geary Street in downtown San Francisco.

#2 Bullet holes pocked the doorway where the 17 year old suspect and Pearsall wrestled for the gun and where Peasall was shot in the chest and the bullet exited out his back.

#3 Dave, you know the neighborhood well your work in the City and the shooting took place just two blocks from Union Square. Union Square is a high end shopping neighborhood with expensive retail and hotels was this just a matter of this could happen anywhere at anytime?

#1 It was an offer that had been sitting on the table since Aug 12th and on Aug 29th San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk who was holding in signed for $120 million for four years. Aiyuk could have been hoping to see if that $120 figure would go up.

#2 Dave, how badly did you see how these negotiations went which was going back and forth these last two months.

#3 A couple reporters in Pittsburgh made it sound that Aiyuk was pretty much signed, sealed and delivered. Steelers fans who are passionate about their team have expressed their disappointment on social media. No one from the Steelers front office had guaranteed that Aiyuk was coming to Pittsburgh in the first place.

#1 The New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns have contract offers for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Critics of the deal say he should leave a few mil on the table and have a chance to win every year with the 49ers.

#2 Midday on Tuesday the Pittsburgh Steelers have made offers for Aiyuk’s services but that talks had stalled. Later in the day talks resumed. Aiyuk is taking a look from all around.

#3 The latest towards the end of the business day on Tuesday has Aiyuk considering either the Browns or the Patriots. If Aiyuk goes to either team it’s unlikely he will be on a Super Bowl team with either one? Nick Bosa said that losing Aiyuk would create a big hole and that would impact any Super Bowl team.

#1 David, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said that negotiations won’t cease as the 49ers are doing everything they can to get a contract extension with 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk says he wants to be paid amongst some of the top NFL receivers.

#2 Inspite of wanting a trade from the 49ers Aiyuk has report. Many NFL analysts were surprised that Aiyuk would show up during a contract dispute with the team. Aiyuk wants to stay with the 49ers but wants a huge payday. Does his reporting mean he’s honoring the last year of contract or he wants to be season ready and negotiate through training camp and pre season if necessary.

#3 Former legendary New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was offered a job as an assistant to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. Belichick declined the offer and is used to being the one in charge and could be looking for another offer but as a head coach. Belichick could have been considered as a defensive coordinator to replace Steve Wilks after he was fired but the Niners replaced him with Nick Sorenson. Belichick has been helping his son who is Steve who is a defensive coordinator at the Washington Huskies. In the off season Belichick has been making appearances on the Pat McAfee show and Inside the NFL.

#1 Brandon Aiyuk has reportedly made a request for a trade from the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday. Contract negotiations on both sides has stalled. In spite of the trade request this go two ways things could get worked out between Aiyuk and the 49ers or he will be granted a trade.

#2 Aiyuk is entering his fifth NFL season and would like to stay with the 49ers but has asked for compensation that is on par with some of the top wide receivers in the NFL. How much will trading Aiyuk away impact the 49ers?

#3 Dave, a team who would pursue Aiyuk would more than likely have to have more than a compensation package but also that could include that team’s number draft pick. The salary would have to be more than $28-30 million per year which the 49ers are offering Aiyuk.
