#1 Cal Bears swimming coach Teri McKeever was one of the top Pac 12 coaches but was fired on Tuesday for a report from the law firm of Munger, Tolles, & Olson saying McKeever “yelled personal insults and epithets” and used belittling language at her student athletes.

#2 Former Tom Brady wife Gisele Bundchen wishes her ex-husband nothing but good luck in his retirement from professional football after 23 years in the game. Bundchen said the two grew apart and that while ending the 13 year marriage to Brady was never easy she said she felt blessed for the time she had with Brady. Brady in his announcement to retire thanked the family, teammates, fans, friends, coaches, football and said he loved them all.

#3 Jessica, Stanford Cardinal women (21-2) are on a four game win streak and are ranked No.2 and are coming off a 62-53 win over the Oregon Ducks. Cameron Brink was unstoppable in the victory with a triple-double and ten blocked shots.

#4 Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills has been accused of rape and faces a court indictment in the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court. Sills is accused of one count of kidnapping and one count of rape, that the acts were non consensual and that Sills held the woman against her will in December 2019. Jessica, Sills will have a lot of explaining to do about these charges and also how does this impact the Eagles as they prepare for the Super Bowl?

#5 Jessica, Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles looks like this could be a close match up. Taking a look at the numbers from the last game for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes throwing 29 completions out of 43 passes for 326 yards, and two touchdowns and for the Eagles Jalen Hurts 15-25 for 121 yards, no touchdowns but Hurts had his running backs do all the scoring with four touchdowns,

#1 Jessica, the San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Ron Carthon will be leaving the 49ers to become general manager of the Tennessee Titans. Carthon met with Titan executives on Friday during the interview process and it was announced on Tuesday that he would become general manager. As director of player personnel Carthon has worked five years with the 49ers and over that time the 49ers have been to the Super Bowl and two NFC Championships during that time.

#2 Co-offensive coordinator for the Michigan Wolverines Matt Weiss was placed on leave by Michigan University. The school’s police department said that they are investigating a report of “computer access crimes” The Wolverines have said that Weiss has not been traveling with the team or been with the team. A neighbor of Weiss said that he saw a number of unmarked police cars outside of Weiss’ residence. Weiss said that he has no comment on the matter and said he is waiting for the investigation to be resolved.

#3 The celebration of the Georgia Bulldogs championship on Sunday went from utter joy to extreme sadness when it was learned of an auto accident that killed offensive lineman Devin Wilcock 20 and recruiting analyst 24 year old Chandler LeCroy who was the driver of a vehicle. LeCroy who was wearing a seat belt was driving at excessive speed. Bulldog offensive lineman Warren McClendon sitting in the right passenger seat survived the crash suffering minor injuries a laceration to the forehead. Victoria Bowles a member of the Georgia football staff was seriously injured and sitting with LeCroy in the back seat.

#4 In NBA news the Brooklyn Nets Kyrie Irving did not play Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs because of right calf soreness. Irving is expected back in the line up on Thursday according to Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn. The Nets are also currently playing without Kevin Durant who is out with a sprained knee and isn’t expected back for several weeks.

#5 Jessica four big playoff games scheduled in the NFL for this weekend lots of excitement over the final eight teams: In the AFC Jacksonville at Kansas City and New York at Philadelphia in the NFC on Saturday. On Sunday it’s Cincinnati at Buffalo and in the NFC it’s the Dallas at San Francisco. Jessica kind of get your picks for this weekend’s playoff games.

#1 Former Boston Red Sox TV analyst and baseball Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley’s grandson was found by authorities in the woods after Eckersley’s daughter Alexandra gave birth in the woods and gave authorities a false location after looking for an hour in 18 degree weather Alexandra finally gave the real location and Eckersley’s grandson was found alive with hypothermia but alive his condition is reported to be improving. Alexandra who is reported to have mental issues is being charged for endangering the welfare of a child she will be arraigned Tuesday in Hillsboro Superior Court North in New Hampshire.

#2 The Arizona Cardinals JJ Watt has announced his retirement from football. Watt who played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Houston Texans and the Cardinals. Watt leaves football as one of the most prolific defensive players in the game. Watt is one of just three players to be named Defensive Player of the Year three times in his career.

#3 The Denver Broncos top brass say that quarterback Russell Wilson is fixable despite his rough 2022 season. Wilson according to team owner Greg Penner and general manager George Paton said that they believe in Wilson’s future with the team. The Broncos who dropped to 4-11 and were bulldozed by Los Angeles Rams on Christmas day 51-14 are looking forward to working with Wilson again in 2023. The Broncos signed Wilson to a five year $245 million contract and pretty much are on the hook for it.

#4 The Buffalo Sabers were supposed to host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday but the game was postponed due to 50 inches of snow in Buffalo and the Buffalo airport is closed until Wednesday. The Sabers and Blue Jackets will reschedule the game for a later date.

#5 On Tuesday night the Sacramento Kings (17-14) who played at home against the Denver Nuggets (21-11) did so without the services of their head coach Mike Brown who was out for Covid 19 protocols and Domantas Sabonis who was out for right thumb fracture.

#6 The Brooklyn Nets continue to surge picking up their ninth straight win 125-117 over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. The Nets had top scoring from Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant who scored 32 points each.

#2 Mayfield who wanted out at the Carolina Panthers was released by the team last Monday with mutual agreement by Panthers head coach Steve Wilks. Mayfield wanted to be released by Carolina after finding out that he would no longer be the starting or back up quarterback.

#3 Switching over to Major League Baseball New York Yankees Aaron Judge gets a big pay day with a nine year $360 million deal with the Yankees. Judge has spoken with three MLB clubs who sought interest the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers before concluding that he will stay with the Yankees.

#4 The San Francisco Giants signed outfielder Mitch Haniger signed for three years worth $43.5 million . Haniger turns 32 this month comes over to the Giants from the Seattle Mariners after hitting .246, 11 home runs, 34 RBI in 37 games. Did the Giants make the right move signing Haniger.

#5 The Golden State Warriors had tried to develop center James Wiseman during the last four years. During the 2019-20 season Wiseman played only three games. Wiseman tore his meniscus during the 2019-20 season. The Warriors have recalled Wiseman after his playing just seven games in the G league.

#1 Ohio State hockey player Kamil Sadlocha hurled racial slurs toward Michigan Spartans hockey player Jagger Joshua multiple times during their two game series earlier this month on Nov 10 and Nov 11 at Michigan State. The specific slur was not given but an on ice official heard what Sadlocha was saying and hit him with a misconduct penalty. In the aftermath Ohio State has sent Sadlocha packing as he has left the school and went home for the rest of the year.

#2 It all went bad for the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football in Mexico City. First the Cardinals just got trashed by the San Francisco 49ers 38-10. Second the Cardinals were without their starting quarterback Kyler Murray and replacement quarterback Colt McCoy threw for only one touchdown and the Cardinals ended up firing their assistant offensive line coach Sean Kugler before when Mexican authorities reported to the Cardinals that Kugler had groped a woman. The Cardinals with the loss fell to 4-7.

#3 Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Tom Brady plus a number of other celebrities who endorsed Cryptocurrency FTX are being sued for advertising fraud. Customers took the celebrities at their word that the Crypto exchange was a good investment until FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried said the company is filing bankruptcy which has lost between $8 to $12 billion in customer investments.

#4 Free agent Aaron Judge who played his last season with the New York Yankees in 2022 and turned down a $213.5 million seven year extension deal and met with San Francisco Giants brass on Tuesday in San Francisco. Judge could command as much as $400 million in a seven year deal. The Yankees are waiting on the sidelines to see what San Francisco offers and could very well match their offer.

#5 After former Cincinnati Red Pete Rose who earlier this month wrote an apology to Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred for gambling on baseball in the 1980s while manager of the Reds. MLB Today’s Game Committee is considering voting for steroid era players for Hall of Fane induction. To name a few Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, Alex Rodriguez, Rafael Palmerio, and Jose Canseco could be elected into baseball’s Hall of Fame. Some say if the steroid era players get in Rose should be in the Hall with them.

#1 The Colorado Avalanche’s right winger Valeri Nichuskin will be out for a month after having ankle surgery. Nichuskin has sat out four games since he last played against the New York Rangers on Oct 25th. Also the Aves defensemen Bowen Byram and Samuel Girard both have lower body injuries during back to back games in Finland against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

#2 The Boston Bruins cut Mitchell Miller this week after finding out more information about Miller’s past. When Miller was 14 years old Miller called Isaiah Meyer-Crothers a black classmate the N word, gave him candy after wiping it inside a urinal. Mitchell hit Crothers and bullied him. Bruins team president Cam Neely apologized to the Meyer-Crothers family saying he was sorry this signing made you feel unseen and unheard.

#3 Indianapolis Colts assistant quarterbacks coach Parks Frazier will help with the offensive play calling as named this week by Colts head coach Jeff Saturday. Colts owner Robert Irsay fired former head coach Frank Reich naming Saturday as head coach and Frazier has never play called the offense in an NFL game before. They will be working their first game together against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday in Allegiant Stadium.

#4 The Indianapolis Colts became another NFL team that did not hire a minority coach. Saturday said of his hiring “you’ve got to earn your place here” Saturday has no NFL coaching experience compared to many minority head coaches who would have liked the opportunity to coach the Colts.

#5 Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant and a longtime Washington Commanders fan said that he wants in on the team’s ownership. As the Commanders owner Dan Snyder has put the team up for sale amongst the scandals that involved the team. Durant says in a perfect world he would like to be involved with the team. Durant said he heard that Amazon owner Jeff Bezos and Jay Z might also join the partnership.

Things got heated both bumped chests both were hit with technicals and as Thompson walked off he was bumped by the Suns Mikal Bridges and Thompson shoved Bridges resulting in a ejection. Did Thompson show up Booker and the Suns with his rubbing in the four time champion stuff?

#2 Jessica the big question everybody is asking in New York is Aaron Judge done as a New York Yankee as his contract in New York comes to an end. It’s going to be highest bidder for Judge and his Yankee teammates hope he stays on board “He exemplifies what being a New York Yankee is all about,” said Yankee first baseman Anthony Rizzo.

#3 Jessica, the 2022 World Series is about to get underway with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros. All the talk has been about how many times Astros manager Dusty Baker had got to the World Series with other teams only to be denied a World Series ring. The Astros are undefeated in post season how do you see Dusty and the Astros chances in getting Dusty his first ring?

#4 The Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson said he’s ready to go this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London this Sunday. Wilson suffering from a hamstring injury sat out last Sunday against the New York Jets. Wilson rehabbed doing exercises on the plane to London.

#5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans said he did not sign an autograph for two officials sideline judge Jeff Lamberth and line judge Tripp Sutter following the Bucs loss to the Carolina Panthers 21-3. Evans said he was talking about golf with Lamberth and Sutter and did not sign an autograph for them.

#4 Jessica, the Atlanta Braves clinched on Tuesday night defeating the Florida Marlins 2-1 at LoanDepot Park in Miami. The New York Mets who had trailed the Braves by just a game tried to catch up but just ran out of games and ran out of time.

#5 Jessica, big loss for the San Francisco 49ers left tackle Colton McKivitz is out for two months with a knee injury This comes after left tackle Trent Williams who went down with a right ankle sprain.

#1 The Chicago Bears are considering moving to Arlington Heights a suburb of the Windy City to get away from the cold winters of Lake Michigan. They plan to build a new stadium with enclosed roof which would be ready by the 2034 season.

#2 Jessica, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll insisted that the Seahawks are a ten win team. The Seahawks have a huge hole to fill after quarterback Russell Wilson left to play with the Denver Broncos.

#3 Jessica, former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Britt Ried will face up to the charges of driving while intoxicated when he crashed into two cars while going to the Chiefs practice facility Feb 2021. Ried injured two children and one that has a brain injury. The family of Y.A. hopes Ried gets the maximum sentence as the case goes to the criminal phase of the trial.

#4 Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald who was video taped swinging a Cincinnati Bengals helmet at Bengals players in the second of two joint practices. Donald was fell to the ground the helmet. Rams head coach Sean McVay said Donald was disciplined for the action but mention specifics.

#5 Jessica, talk about how important it is for the Pittsburgh Steelers to recognize former running back Franco Harris. Harris of course remembered for the famous Immaculate Reception in the 1972 AFC Championship against the Oakland Raiders when he caught a deflected pass in the air for an interception and ran it back for a touchdown to advance the Steel Curtain to the Super Bowl.

#2 Los Angeles Chargers cornerback JC Jackson who is one of the Chargers key cornerbacks will be out for two to four weeks due to an ankle injury. How much are they going to miss him out of the line up?

#3 The Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy plans not to use Dak Prescott at quarterback for the Cowboys last pre season game against the Seattle Seahawks on Friday night. McCarthy does not want to take any risks of injuries to his star quarterback before the first week of the regular season.

#4 The Washington Commanders star pass rusher Chase Young will not be doing any chasing anytime soon as he was placed on the PUP list to recover from a torn ACL. Young was injured nine games into the 2021 season and still has not fully recovered and from the sound of Commanders head coach Ron Rivera Young may not even return for the 2022 season.

#5 Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFluer makes it no secret that he will be resting his starters for their next game Thursday in Kansas City in the final installment of pre season games. Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers and the starters will be watching from the sidelines.
