#1 Dave, this Wild Card playoff was not even close the San Francisco 49ers (14-4) landslided the visiting Seattle Seahawks (9-9) behind the amazing quarterbacking of rookie Brook Purdy 41-23 who threw for four touchdowns.

#2 The Seahawks came out in the first half looking like they might make this a competitive contest with a one point 17-16 lead but that was all erased in the second half as the 49ers shutout the Seahawks in the third quarter and opened up the offense with 18 points in the fourth quarter.

#3 Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll during that second half tried to get them on track but quarterback Geno Smith unlike the first half just couldn’t execute in the red zone and the 49ers pass rush keep Smith running in the third quarter where Seattle was shutout.
