On the Stanford Cardinal podcast with Jerry Feitelberg the Cardinal defense just couldn’t find a way to stop Jakob Poetl and his 23 point shooting game last Saturday.  The Cardinal Rosco Allen (16 pts), Dorian Pickens (16 pts), Marcus Sheffield (13) and Marcus Allen (10) all double digits last Saturday but couldn’t figure out the Utes.

Poetl was unstoppable he was hitting buckets from everywhere on the floor and the Cardinal just couldn’t get  an opportunity to slow him down. His 23 points was indicative of the kind of offensive game that he had and double teaming didn’t do any good too because four other Cardinal shooters also had double figures enough to take out the Cardinal by a final of 96-74. The Cardinal complete the three game road trip with Cal on Friday night at Haas Pavilion.
