#1 Amaury, we’ll talk to you about a variety of subject starting with the possibility that the Chicago White Sox could tie the all time consecutive loss record at 23 on Wednesday if the A’s were to sweep this three game series which starts tonight.

#2 The A’s have had their own struggles of last after edging the Los Angeles Dodgers Friday they lost the next two games 10-0 Saturday and 3-2 on Sunday. The A’s first series loss since mid July.

#3 Switching over to the Paris Olympics and the medal count, China is in first place with the most gold medals, second the US with 20 and Australia with 13. The competition has been fast and furious in this year’s games.

#4 Former NFL star quarterback Tom Brady is considering un-retiring and wants to try out for either the San Francisco 49ers or Las Vegas Raiders. Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

#5 The Kansas City Chiefs have signed kicker Harrison Butler to a yearly $6.4 million deal that’s worth $25.6 million for four years and $17.75 million guaranteed. That would sign Butler through 2028. Butler hit 33 of 35 field goal attempts for 94.3% last season.

#1 San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk who is requesting a trade as he formerly made the request on Tuesday. Aiyuk who has one more year left on his rookie contract will be paid $14.124 million. Aiyuk is looking to double his salary with an extension. Aiyuk is expecting to be paid as one of the top six receivers in the NFL.

#2 Aiyuk’s numbers are critical and the Niners are doing everything they can to get him signed. In his second year Aiyuk had a career 1,342 yards in receiving, and led the league in yards per target at 12.9 and finished second in catches with 17.9. Aiyuk has also expressed interest in playing for the Washington Commanders with his college quarterback friend Jayden Daniels.

#3 The latest on Wednesday through sources that Aiyuk who was in practice in Santa Clara spoke with general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan. The three looked like they were welcoming and talks according sources could be in the works. Aiyuk had been attending practices to avoid being fined for not reporting. The 49ers are trying to hold onto Aiyuk and to work out an extension with him.

#4 Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce has made it clear that the quarterback job is for the one who wants it most. Either Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew. “I’d like to see — again, I’m going to keep saying it — somebody to just take it and say, ‘I’m the guy, Pierce told the AP during practice this week in Henderson NV “Make it clear and evident, and then we’ll make that decision at that point.”

#5 Raiders wide receiver Devante Adams said last season you saw raw emotion that there weren’t always the brightest points but said there was also some good moments too. Adams says that he’s in a good place right now and is happy to be in camp with the Raiders.

#1 David, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said that negotiations won’t cease as the 49ers are doing everything they can to get a contract extension with 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk says he wants to be paid amongst some of the top NFL receivers.

#2 Inspite of wanting a trade from the 49ers Aiyuk has report. Many NFL analysts were surprised that Aiyuk would show up during a contract dispute with the team. Aiyuk wants to stay with the 49ers but wants a huge payday. Does his reporting mean he’s honoring the last year of contract or he wants to be season ready and negotiate through training camp and pre season if necessary.

#3 Former legendary New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was offered a job as an assistant to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. Belichick declined the offer and is used to being the one in charge and could be looking for another offer but as a head coach. Belichick could have been considered as a defensive coordinator to replace Steve Wilks after he was fired but the Niners replaced him with Nick Sorenson. Belichick has been helping his son who is Steve who is a defensive coordinator at the Washington Huskies. In the off season Belichick has been making appearances on the Pat McAfee show and Inside the NFL.

#2 Defensive Coordinator Nick Sorenson will he stay in San Francisco or will he find success elsewhere. Last season Sorenson replaced Steve Wilks. Sorenson had so much success at defensive coordinator that he led the 49ers defense to the Super Bowl. Do you see any chance of him staying?

#3 Tashaun Gipson the 49er veteran safety said he has accepted his six game suspension for substance abuse. Gipson said “During this offseason I took a supplement one time, which I thought to be completely safe and well within any of the NFL’s policies. It was in no way related to performance, training, or gaining an advantage of any kind at any time. I have competed at this level for a long time, and have nothing but respect for the game and the fraternity of players in it,”

#1 In 2014 the City of Santa Clara was reported to have made a bad deal with the San Francisco 49ers over the Levis Stadium that is public owned by the City. The City got “outplayed” according to a Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury.

#2 Dave as we discussed you mentioned it was just a matter of the 49ers had smarter lawyers at the time they worked the contracts in their favor and pretty much got the Santa Clara City official to go right along with their plans. Also the 49ers had a conflict with the City of Santa Clara over how stadium maintenance was going to get paid and their relationship with Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor has been very adversarial through her first and now current second administrations.

#3 The 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk are at an impasse do you see them signing him to an extension.

#1 Top topic lack of Las Vegas A’s plans are stalling MGM Grand remodeling plans. The MGM is waiting for the future Las Vegas A’s to come up with with blueprints so they can figure in their remodeling plans. MGM CEO Bill Hornbuckle said he’s been shown three different plans as to where the ballpark will sit on the site. Problem is the A’s do not have a definite design that has been decided on and Hornbuckle wants to get on with his construction at the MGM so he can build a pedestrian bridge to the ballpark.

#2 The A’s further have met with the Oakland Coliseum Joint Authority and have not come to an agreement for a lease extension that would have them play at the Coliseum from 2025-27 three years. Major League Baseball is in a bit of a pickle the A’s need to make a decision soon as the 2025 schedules come out in July but the City of Oakland wants MLB to guarantee an expansion team for Oakland and Rob Manfred said the Bay Area already has a team and that should be good enough.

#3 The Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry edged out the New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu in the three point contest at the NBA All Star Game in Indianapolis Saturday night 29-26. Ionescu hit seven straight three points for the 26 points.

#4 Mac McClung won back to back slam dunk contests and is now the fifth NBA player to have back to back wins in the slam dunk competition. McClung surpassed Shaq O’Neil with a 50 point slam over all people Shaq who was holding the ball above his had for the record setting dunk.

#5 Wanted to get a chance to ask you about the firing of former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks who got the blame for the 49ers loss in the Super Bowl. Talk about what mistakes he made and how does a defensive coordinator who contributed highly on his defense takes a team to the Super Bowl and ends up getting fired?
