Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) had his way against the Las Vegas Raiders throwing three downs and shutting out Las Vegas at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sun Dec 14, 2025 (AP News photo)

Las Vegas Raiders podcast Rich Perez:

#1 The Philadelphia Eagles improved to 9-5 after shutting out the Las Vegas Raiders (2-12) 31-0 in Philadelphia on Sunday. It was the Raiders eighth loss in a row.

#2 The Raiders defense simply couldn’t do anything with the Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and their offense. For Hurts 12 completions in 15 attempts for 175 yards and three touchdowns.

#3 In the second half the Raiders like the first half couldn’t convert even a field goal and just couldn’t take advantage of even getting in the red zone.

#4 Raider back up quarterback Kenny Pickett struggled all afternoon throwing going 15-25 for only 64 yards one interception. Pickett try as hard as he may and filling for the injured Geno Smith was running for his life all game long.

#5 The Raiders are back at the chalkboard again trying to figure this out next week in Houston against the Texans on Sun Dec 21st. The Texans are on a roll having won six games in a row having defeated the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Raiders could have their hands full again next Sunday.

By Vince Cestone

(LAS VEGAS) — If it wasn’t bad enough that the Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Denver Broncos, they also lost their quarterback Geno Smith.

As the norm at the 5-year-old Las Vegas Stadium, a sea of opposing fans watched Bo Nix and the Broncos defeat the now 3-10 Raiders 24-17 at Allegiant Stadium. The Broncos quarterback passed for 212 yards, completing 31 of 38 passes, and rushed for a touchdown.

The Raiders have an inverse record to the Broncos, 2-11 and 11-2 respectively, and now lost seven games in a row. Despite the end result being a one-score game, the Broncos showed clearly that they were the better team.

In the first quarter, both teams traded blows. Nix ran 8 yards for the first touchdown, the last of 14 plays to get the score. Shortly after, Smith passed to Brock Bowers for a 15-yard touchdown.

The Broncos took the lead in the second quarter, with a 48-yard punt return by Denver’s Marvin Mims Jr. Denver added on in the third quarter, with a touchdown by running back RJ Harvey, making the score 21-7.

Kicker Wil Lutz capped the scoring for the Broncos in the fourth quarter, with a 23-yard field goal, making the score 24-7.

The Raiders would tack on a touchdown in the fourth quarter as backup QB Kenny Pickett through to Shedrick Jackson for a 25-yard touchdown. Daniel Carlson would latter add on 3 more points with a field goal, making the score 24-17.

Smith left the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. He has been ruled out for the next game.

Up next, the Raiders will head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Sunday, Dec. 14. Game time is 10 a.m. PST.

Chicago Bears running back De’Andre Swift (4) scores a touchdown against Philadelphia Eagles in the first half at Lincoln Financial Field on Fri Nov 28, 2025 (AP News photo)

NFL podcast Charlie O Sun Nov 30, 2025

#1 What does Chicago Bears’ upset win over Philadelphia Eagles — including a massive 255-yard combined rushing effort — mean for their playoff chances this season?

#2 With injuries piling up across the league (the Baltimore Ravens’Chandler Martin’s season-ending ACL tear), how are team depth and roster management becoming more critical as they head into the final stretch?

#3 Kansas City Chiefs just got graded a “B” for a narrow loss — what does this signal about the sustainability of their recent playoff-level standards under pressure?

#4 Charlie, does the firing of Las Vegas Raiders assistant coach Chip Kelly really underscore head coach Pete Carroll’s goal of building up the team. Does that leave a bitter taste in Carroll’s mouth as he had no real say in Kelly’s firing? The Raiders lost another tough one again to the Los Angeles Chargers 31-14.

#5 For teams with rookie or newly returned quarterbacks such as the Cleveland Browns Shedeur Sanders, how important is coaching support and defense-driven wins in shaping their long-term future this season?
