#1 Cal who fired two of their assistant coaches on Sunday Bill Musgrave offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Angus McClure was this firing a matter of a poor job of coaching the offense by Musgrave and McClure or the talent on the Bears just isn’t there?

#2 Head coach Justin Wilcox said that it was in the best interest of the team and that changes in the coaching staff was necessary.

#3 After the changes in assistants how do you see the benefit of the change for the Bears offense going forward.

#1 Daniel, last Saturday for the Stanford Cardinal (3-6) wasn’t even a contest as the Cardinal absolutely got landslided by the Washington State Cougars (5-4) on their home field at Stanford Stadium 52-14.

#2 The Cardinal quarterback Tanner McKee was running for daylight for most of the game as offensively he just couldn’t get anything going to come back in the second half of the game.

#3 Defensively the Cardinal couldn’t stop the Cougars who scored on all three of their first three possessions.

#4 The loss was Stanford’s sixth in eight games. For Cardinal head coach David Shaw this marks their losing record of 14-25 since 2018 their last winning season.

#5 Daniel, the Cardinal are on the way to face the mighty Utah Utes (7-2) the Utes have won three straight games and won their last game rather handedly 45-20 over the Arizona Wildcats. Stanford face Utah this Sat Nov 12th.

#1 Well, Michael what a way for the Washington State Cougars (5-4) to snap a three game losing streak on the backs of the Stanford Cardinal (3-6) at Stanford Stadium last Saturday 52-14.

#2 Michael, the Stanford defense kept busy all night long with the Trojans scoring a whopping 42 points in the first half of play.

#3 Another costly miscue was when Stanford fumbled and the Cougars Jaden Hicks returned it for a 17 yard score in the second quarter. The Cardinal head coach David Shawn is trying to avoid costly turnovers.

#4 Coach Shaw said that the Cardinal had chances to capitalize he said you can’t turn the ball over twice in one game and expect to win.

#1 Washington State Cougars (5-4) quarterback Cameron Ward had himself quite an afternoon at Stanford Stadium with two touchdown passes and one keeper as the Cougars ran away with a 52-14 win against the Stanford Cardinal (3-6) on Saturday afternoon.

#2 It was an important win for the Cougars they came to Stanford with a three game losing streak and put their shoulder into this one with a convincing win against the Cardinal to snap the three game losing streak.

#3 Michael, it was another offensive struggle for Stanford quarterback Tanner McKee who threw for 23 for 40 for 236 yards, problem was Tanner didn’t throw for any touchdowns.

#4 It was Stanford running back Ashton Daniels who provided all the offense the Cardinal would get for the afternoon and who carried for two touchdowns in seven carries averaging 14 yards a carry.

#5 The Cardinal in their last four games are playing .500 ball having lost two of their last four games. The Cardinal hope to put this game with Wazoo behind them and get ready for the Utah Utes (7-2) in Utah. The Utes are running hot having won three straight games. Washington State Claws Stanford on the Farm, 52-14

STANFORD, Calf.– The Stanford Cardinal (3-6, 1-6 Pac 12) suffers another conference loss, this time in blowout fashion to the Washington State Cougars (5-4, 2-4 Pac 12), 52-14.

The visiting Cougars wasted no time in pouncing on the Cardinal, as they scored 21 straight points within the first ten minutes of the game. Washington States scoring in the initial stanza was: A three yard rushing touchdown by freshman receiver, Leyton Smithson.

Sophomore quarterback Cameron Ward threw a seven yard touchdown to receiver Anderson Grover, and scored one himself on a 15-yard scramble to paydirt. Stanford did manage to score before the first quarter expired, when backup freshman quarterback Ashton Daniels rushed for a one-yard touchdown, 21-7 WSU

Washington State was not finished scoring, as they tacked on another 21 points on their opponent. Stanford’s three fumbles helped a great deal too in Washington State’s prolific scoring. Ashton Daniels fumbled, which was recovered by freshman safety Jaden Hicks for a 17-yard touchdown.

Cameron Ward tossed another touchdown for nine yards to sophomore Donovan Ollie. With less than a minute to go in the half, Cougars’ junior running back Nakia Watson exploded through the line for a 49-yard touchdown. 42-7 WSU

After the mid game break, Stanford scratched the scoreboard with another touchdown by Ashton Daniels, on a two yard rush. Washington State countered with a 22-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Sean Janikowski. After 45 minutes of play, 45-14 WSU.

The final period had the Cougars, backup freshman quarterback getting into the action. John Mateer hurled the pigskin 27 yards to fellow freshman Orion Peters for the final tally of the contest. Washington State surpassed the half-century mark, 52-14 over the hosting Stanford Cardinal.

Stanford will take their two-game losing streak to Salt Lake City and battle the Utah Utes Saturday, November 15, while Washington State hosts Arizona State on the same date.

Cardinal quarterback Tanner McKee threw for 236 yards and no TD’s, while his backup, Ashton Daniels rushed for two touchdowns.

Cougars’ QB, Cameron Ward threw two TD’s and rushed for another, while his backup, John Mateer converted a touchdown pass himself. Running Back Nakia Watson rushed for 166 yards and scored a 49-yard touchdown.

Stanford’s next home game will be a non conference battle against the Brigham Young University Cougars Thanksgiving Weekend, Saturday, November 26.

#1 One thing for sure Michael the UCLA Bruins (7-1) left very little doubt that coming off a loss to the Oregon Ducks the previous didn’t shake their confidence as they had a mission and soundly defeated the Stanford Cardinal (3-5) last Saturday 38-13.

#2 UCLA running back Zack Charbonnet was all the rage on Saturday rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns

#3 The Bruins 12th ranked came back from their previous and first loss of the season to Oregon and pretty much got some good defense to hold the Cardinal to only 13 points for the win.

#4 Cardinal quarterback Tanner McKee just couldn’t move the ball like he wanted to and was on the run for a lot of the game trying to find open receivers.

#5 The Washington State Cougars (4-4) come to Stanford after losing three straight games the Cougars lost to the Utah Utes last Saturday 21-17. Michael give your prediction how you see this match up this Saturday at Stanford Stadium a 12:30pm kick off.

#1 The Oregon Ducks (7-1) were like a kettle full of hot water slow to boil but once they hit a certain temperature it was started to be a big concern for Cal Bears (3-5) head coach Justin Wilcox and the Bears defense after holding a brief 10-0 lead before the second quarter Ducks explosion.

#2 The Ducks were looking end zone in the second quarter and their quarterback Bo Nix carried for three times to put touchdown scores on his game stats that would have the Ducks never looking back for the rest of the game.

#3 Morris talk about what coach Wilcox said after the game of his team’s performance, “There’s some things that happened at the end of the first half and start of the second that if we would have performed a bit better, then we could have made that game very competitive,”

#4 The Bears were able to stop the Ducks offense early it was the first time in six games that the Ducks went scoreless in a first quarter which spoke to the potential of Cal’s defense.

#5 The Bears now face the USC Trojans (7-1) it will be Cal’s second consecutive week in a row facing a ranked school. The Trojans are coming off a win against the Arizona Wildcats (3-5) 45-37. How can Cal stop the USC’s high flying offense this coming Saturday?

#1 One of the things they talked about all week was how quick the UCLA Bruins (6-1) line is how much time will Stanford Cardinal (3-4) quarterback Tanner McKee have and will he be forced to keep the ball at times?

#2 The Cardinal have won two games in a row and at one time they had an 11 game win streak against the Bruins.

#3 Head coach David Shaw has coached the Cardinal to five out six wins against ranked UCLA teams.

#4 The Cardinal are coming off wins against Notre Dame and Arizona State both wins were razor close. Against the Fighting Irish 16-14 and against the Sun Devils 15-14. Could they wind up pulling off a squeaker against the Bruins tonight?

#1 The Washington Huskies quarterback Michael Penix threw a 14 yard pass to receiver Jalen McMillian for a game winning touchdown last Saturday to help Washington get past the Cal Bears at Cal Memorial Stadium in Berkeley 28-21.

#2 Penix has been rolling he threw his eighth straight 300 yard game against Cal for 374 yards and two touchdowns was this a matter of Penix was just that good or the Cal defense just couldn’t contain Penix.

#3 Meanwhile Cal quarterback Jack Plummer threw well enough to win the game throwing for three second half touchdowns as Cal drops to 3-4.

#4 Cal Receiver J. Michael Sturdivant said that the Bears can beat anybody but last Saturday’s game just got away. Was Sturdivant saying that Cal can beat anybody overstating Cal’s ability to beat any other team or they really are good enough to beat other teams.

#5 Cal’s challenge doesn’t get any easier as they face the rough and ready number eight ranked Oregon Ducks (6-2) who have won six straight games and beat one of the tougher opponents in the Pac 12 last Saturday the UCLA Bruins 45-30 last Saturday. So this gives you an idea how tough Cal’s next game will be at Berkeley.

#1 Stanford Cardinal kicker Joshua Karty who booted a come from behind field goal with 6:28 left against the Arizona State Sun Devils to help the Stanford with a come from behind victory 15-14.

#2 Karty did all the scoring for the Cardinal with five field goals kicking two in the first quarter, one in the third and two more in the fourth quarter.

#3 The win snapped a ten game conference losing streak the last time the Cardinal beat a Pac 12 team was against Oregon 31-24 on Oct 2, 2021 much to the relief head coach David Shaw as Stanford picks up their third win of the season.

#4 Michael, coach Shaw says that the Cardinal are finding their groove by playing hard and having the ball bouncing their way. The win was the Cardinal’s second straight win.

#5 The UCLA Bruins (6-1) will be the next opponent for the Cardinal in Los Angeles. The Bruins recently had a six game win streak snapped by the Oregon Ducks (6-1) in a 45-30 loss. Talk about how you see this game Saturday at UCLA for Stanford.
