Las Vegas Raiders podcast Tony Renteria: Is the Kelly firing just the beginning for coaching staff?

Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly before an NFL football game Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, in Denver. (AP Photo/David Zalubowski, File)

Las Vegas Raiders podcast Tony Renteria:

#1 Chip Kelly the Las Vegas Raiders (2-9) offensive coordinator who was fired right after Sunday’s game as the Raiders offense has sputtered all season long and Sunday against the Cleveland Browns (3-8) was no different as the Raiders were shutout in the second half of the game. Is the Kelly firing just the beginning for the Raiders coaching staff.

#2 The Las Vegas Raiders never could catch up to the Cleveland Browns Sunday getting beat 24-10 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

#3The Raiders quarterback Geno Smith just couldn’t get neither the run or passing game to get on the scoreboard.

#4 For Smith Sunday going 30-44 for 285 yards and one interception but just couldn’t get the offense to launch and once again the Raiders ended up being short this time way short.

#5 The Raiders were shutout in the first and third quarters. The Raiders defense were having a decent game they shutout the Browns in the second and third quarters but it wasn’t enough to close the game out in a 14 point loss at home.

#6 It doesn’t get easier for the Raiders they head to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Chargers (7-4). The Chargers got crushed on Sunday by the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-6. How do you see this match up in Jacksonville for the Raiders Sun Nov 16th.

NFL podcast Jessica Kwong: Giants Russell replaced by rookie Dart; Ex-Cowboy Parsons sacks Prescott no hard feelings; plus more NFL news

New York Giant quarterback Russell Wilson (3) has been replaced by rookie back up Jaxson Dart when the Giants face the Los Angeles Chargers at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford next Sun Sep 28, 2025 (AP News photo)

NFL podcast Jessica Kwong Wed Sep 24, 2025

#1 The New York Giants will most likely bench veteran quarterback Russell Wilson and replace him with rookie Jaxson Dart. Dart makes his first start at Giants Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers. Dart was the 25th overall pick this season.

#2 Former Dallas Cowboys and now Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons sacked his former teammate Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Parsons said it was painful sacking Prescott, “That’s my guy. He was always like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is. He always told me if I ever faced him that it’ll be a great matchup, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings itself.”

#3 The Houston Texans released safety CJ Gardner-Johnson on Tuesday. Johnson played in only three games with just 15 tackles and no interceptions and didn’t break up any passes. Johnson was the Texans 2022 first round draft pick as the Texans traded left guard Kenyon Green to get Johnson.

#4  Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said on Tuesday that he’s handing over the offensive play calling over to quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree. Nick Holz will stay at offensive coordinator and will continue doing the same work building the offense.

#5 Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has a deferred prosecution regarding his DUI case says a King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office they told ESPN. Sherman’s attorney requested the deferment which was granted by a King County District Court judge. That means that the charge is held in abeyance as the defendant agrees to meet the court requirements. Sherman was booked on a Feb 2024 DUI charge for driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.11 over the state requirement of 0.08.

Las Vegas Raiders podcast Rich Perez: Despite helping out in coaching booth Brady and Raiders can’t get past Chargers 20-9

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (10) takes a keeper up the middle against the Las Vegas Raiders defense on Monday Night Football Sep 15, 2025 at Allegiant Stadium Las Vegas (AP News photo)

Las Vegas Raiders podcast with Rich Perez:

#1 Las Vegas Raiders (1-1) co owner and former New England Patriots great Tom Brady was in the coaching booth for the Raiders as hard as Brady strategized the Raiders took a tough loss on their home field to the Los Angeles Chargers (2-0) at Allegiant Stadium 20-9 in week 3 of the NFL season.

#2 Rich you talked to Brady before the game as a co-owner and a former player you just never get away from that player mentality he certainly wants to be involved in the game.

#3 The Chargers in the first quarter score ten points and got a touchdown from Kennan Allen who caught a ten yard pass from quarterback Justin Herbert with 20 seconds left in the quarter making 10-3.

#4 Second quarter Chargers added another touchdown when Quentin Johnston caught a 60 yard pass from Hebert and the Chargers after the first half had a 17-6 lead.

#5 Second half in the third quarter the Chargers got a field goal from Cameron Dicker a 20 yarder and the Raiders would get a field goal a 37 yarder by Daniel Carlson in the fourth quarter so both defenses pretty much shut it down but the Raiders couldn’t pass the Chargers getting their first loss of the seaon.

#6 This Sunday Sep 21 the Raiders face the Washington Commanders who are 1-1 and lost their last game Thu Sep 11 to the Green Bay Packers 27-18. The Commanders crushed the New York Giants in week 1 in Washington 21-6. How do you see these two teams matching up this Sunday in Washington?

The Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Tyree Wilson (9) sacks the New England Patriot quarterback Drake Wilson (10) in the second half at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on Sun Aug 7, 2025 (AP News photo)

Las Vegas Raiders podcast Tony Renteria:

#1 Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper who announced his retirement on Saturday before the Raiders game in New England how much did that catch the organization by surprise?

#2 Rich the Las Vegas Raiders win week 1 to kick off the season and it looks like from both sides of the football Raiders head coach Pete Carroll got the game plan working to pick up his first win as a Raiders head coach.

#3 Lots of confidence from the offensive side of the football the Raiders scoring in the first quarter on a Tre Tucker reception for 26 yards from a quarterback Geno Smith pass to get on the scoreboard first.

# 4 Third quarter the Raiders scored on a running back Ashton Jeanty three yard carry and took a 17-10 lead going into the fourth quarter.

#5 Fourth quarter the Raiders defense held the New England Patriots to just a field goal narrowing the score to a seven point Raider win 20-13.

#6 Raiders quarterback Geno Smith had an afternoon under center throwing 23-25 for 366 yards, and one touchdown and one interception.

#7 Up next for the Raiders the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football Sep 15th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for week 2 and the Raiders home opener. The Chargers are coming off a Friday Night Football in victory against the Kansas City Chiefs to kick off their season in Brazil with a six point 27-21 win. San Francisco 49ers podcast Michael Roberson:

#1 The pre season came to a conclusion on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) with the San Francisco 49ers (2-1) coming up with a 30-23 win. Mac Jones the 49ers quarterback is out with an injury and that brought in back up quarterback Tanner Mordecai who threw 10-13 for 103 yards and one touchdown.

#2 After taking a look at Mordecai can he fill the back up role if Brock Purdy had to leave on a moments notice?

#3 49ers running back Jeff Wilson carried 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown. Talk about his chances to make starter?

#4 49ers wide receiver Malik Turner caught three receptions for 41 yards, looks as if he covered the field and was a good target for Mordecai.

#5 49ers open the season against the Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback Jalen Milroe and head coach Mike MacDonald question is with all the injuries the 49ers had can they withstand the Seahawks on Sun Sep 7th in Seattle?

Las Vegas Raiders podcast with Rich Perez: Coach Pierce’s job in question after Sunday’s loss to Chargers 22-10

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce looks on as the Raiders warm up in preparation of their game against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sun Jan 5, 2025 (Las Vegas Review -Journal photo))

On the Las Vegas Raiders podcast with Rich Perez:

#1 Rich in the first half the Raiders had some defense and looked like they were prepared to challenge the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. They took a 7-3lead 45 seconds into the first quarter when Alexander Mattison caught a 31 yard pass from quarterback Gardner Minshew.

#2 The Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker hit a 25 yard field goal 26 seconds into the second quarter to cut the Raiders lead by one 7-6 at the half.

#3 Third quarter at 9:08 Dicker hit another field goal 24 yards as the Chargers took the lead 9-7.

#4 The Raiders defense who played well up until the fourth quarter saw the Chargers open the flood gates with running back JK Robbins who scored at 14:55 for a 16-7 lead. The Chargers up 16-10 at 3:40 scored another touchdown on a ten yard Lloyd McConkey catch and the Chargers came away with a 22-10 win.

#5 As the Chargers are headed to the post season the Raiders are folding it up for the season and the question remains will Raiders coach Antonio Pierce remain with the club? Pierce coached the Raiders to ten straight loses and then recovered winning two in a row before losing today’s game to the Chargers?
