#1 Tony, two weeks ago the Las Vegas Raiders were collapsing they were on a five game losing streak with them scheduled to start a two game road trip in Denver and Seattle all looked bleak until they had break out games resulting in overtime wins in Denver and Seattle.

#2 Tony, when you saw Raiders quarterback Derek Carr nearly broke down after the game after a home loss to the Indianapolis Colts was that a moment of reckoning for Carr and the Raiders that they mad and they weren’t going to take it anymore?

#3 Also owner Mark Davis had head coach Josh McDaniels back after the fifth straight loss and fans calling for his head. Was it a matter of Davis is not going to fire McDaniels and be on the hook for the rest of his salary or he still had faith in McDaniels to persevere through those tough times.

#4 Tony, the Raiders as now have no chance of making the post season at 4-7. The Raiders would have to win the rest of their games and finish 10-7 that’s six consecutive more games and wins to get some daylight.

#5 Tony, Raiders and Chargers as the Raiders return to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to face the Los Angeles Chargers (6-5). The Chargers just got by the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday 25-24. How do you see the outcome between these two teams.

#1 Dave, San Francisco 49ers (6-4) quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw for four touchdowns on Monday Night Football in Mexico City. It was quite a night for Garoppolo as the crowd was behind Garoppolo all game long.

#2 Dave, this one was special as it was the first NFL game played in Mexico City since 2019 and the fans were into it as Garoppolo had opportunities to throw against the Arizona Cardinals (4-7) defense and helped run up the score for a 38-10.

#3 Running back Christian McCaffrey carried seven times for 39 yards with no touchdowns at it was a relatively quite night for McCaffrey but you just never know when he’s going to bust out.

#1 How important was it for the San Francisco 49ers to practice this past week in Colorado Springs before playing above sea level in Mexico City on Monday Night Football.

#2 The 49ers are noted for building drafts which had players that had injuries previously like Javon Kinlaw, Kavon Alexander, or getting Dee Ford in a trade.

#3 Could the 49ers sign wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham 30 could be somewhat of a liability who is recovering in his ninth month from his second surgery from torn left ACL.

#4 The situation is shaky at the cornerback position Jason Varrett is out for the season, linebacker Samuel Womack sat for the second street week, Ambry Thomas has had his share of injuries and needing rest.

#1 The Arizona Cardinals (1-1) scored the game winning touchdown in overtime when linebacker Isaiah Simmons knocked the ball out of the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders (0-2) wide receiver Hunter Renfrow to be picked up by cornerback Bryon Murphy for a 59 yard return in overtime.

#2 There was even doubt if Murphy’s touchdown was legit officials checked to see if Murphy let go of the ball before he crossed the goal line. After further review the video officials ruled that Murphy did hold onto the ball long enough to score the game winning touchdown.

#3 The Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was credited for keeping them in the game throwing 31 for 49 for 277 yards, for one touchdown and one interception.

#4 The Cardinals were down at the half by 20 points but were able to come back and win the contest by six points in the end and it was Murray who just keep working his receivers, running backs and keeping the ball taking it to the Raiders.

#5 The loss was the Raiders second loss against no wins and the Raiders go back to the drawing board against the Tennessee Titans who lost a close game Sun Sep 11 to the New York Giants and are in Buffalo for Monday Night Football Sep 19th. The Raiders will make the trip to Tennessee Sun Sep 25th. How do you see the Raiders matching up with the Titans who have two games in less than seven days?

Raiders fall short in last ditch 4th quarter effort 24-19 to Chargers in Inglewood

After tying the game in the first quarter 3-3 the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers battled throughout the contest on Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. It had been nine years since Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and wide receiver Devante Adams had played together since college.

Carr hit Adams for an 11 yard pass on the opening drive of the game. It turned out that Adams would be Carr’s favorite target all afternoon throwing to Adams for five completions. Despite Carr and Adams hooking up the Raiders defense couldn’t hold the line in the second quarter as the Chargers scored 14 points.

“We did some good things,” Carr said. “There’s also some things that him and I, we were just talking about in the locker room, the way I see it, the way he sees it, and we’re trying to make that better. So yeah, we had production, but I think that we can be better, and so does he.”

It was a great afternoon for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had who went 26-34 threw for three touchdowns for 279 yards throwing to wide receivers DeAndre Carter and Gerald Everett.

The Raiders have their work cut out for them as they return to Las Vegas on Sun Sep 18th at Allegiant Stadium to host the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray. The Cardinals have more a will to win after they got beat 44-21 by quarterback Pat Mahomes and the Kansas Chiefs in Glendale. Murray went 22-34, 193 yards and two touchdowns and was relieved by back up quarterback Trace McSorley after the game became lopsided.

#1 Tony, the Las Vegas Raiders (8-7) have won two in a row be it in close scores they defeated the Cleveland Browns (7-8) by two on Mon Dec 20th and last Sun Dec 26 a win by three points over the visiting Denver Broncos (7-8).

#2 In last Sunday’s game Raider quarterback Derek Carr threw for 201 yards with a touchdown and one interception. Talk about Carr’s ability to move the ball down field in the third quarter and get wide receiver Peyton Barber a short pass for a score.

#3 Tony, in the first quarter running back Josh Jacobs fumbled and the Broncos scored 13 points in the second quarter and took a 13-0 half time lead. During the half Jacobs promised the coaches that he will take care of the football and to give him another chance in the second half. Jacobs did carrying for 129 yards for the game.

#4 How big of advantage was it for the Raiders home field, facing a Covid bitten Broncos team and down to their second string quarterback Drew Lock who threw for 153 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

#5 It’s off to Indianapolis this Sunday and the Colts (9-6) who are tearing it up. The Colts have won six of their last eight games and handled the Arizona Cardinals (10-5) 22-16 with that in mind how do you see the Raiders and Cardinals this Sunday in Indianapolis.

#1 The San Francisco 49ers (3-5) who have lost five of their last six games will be tested again as they face the Los Angeles Rams (7-2) on Monday Night Football. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan says the 49ers situation is a sense of urgency.

#2 The 49ers were defeated soundly in their last game by the Arizona Cardinals (8-1) 31-17 last Sunday

#3 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw 28-40, 326 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Garoppolo’s line looked good enough to win the game but the Cardinals just kept adding up the scoring and no matter what Garoppolo did the 49ers just couldn’t catch Arizona.

#4 Los Angeles Rams (7-2) wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr who joins the Rams this week will be all the rage as the Rams are rolling and with the addition of Beckham that gives the Rams just that more yards in receiving going into Monday Night’s game.

#5 Joe, set this one up the 49ers having lost five of their last six and have trouble keeping teams from scoring once in the red zone what do you expect out of the 49ers defense in stopping the Rams high potent offense going into Monday Night’s contest?

#1 After the San Francisco 49ers (3-5) most recent loss to the Arizona Cardinals (8-1) on Sunday 31-17 the subject of Odell Beckham Jr has been raised and would he be a fit for the 49ers? 49er head coach Kyle Shanahan likes what Beckham brings to the game however Beckham Jr is looking to join a team that is a post season contender.
