2026 isn’t just a new season on the field for the San Francisco Giants, but fans also get to try some new things at Oracle Park this season.
From Lucky Fries, to Chick-fil-A signage on the “fowl” poles, and to even an in-house mariachi band, the Oracle Park faithful have plenty of things to look forward to in 2026.
Among the highlights is an in-house mariachi band that will play at Oracle Park during all Saturday home games. The Giants will also wear a new Gigantes jersey on the field, which honors the Latino community, the team said. Local talent performing on these Saturday home games include Mariachi San Francisco, La Explosiva Sonora MX, and Comando Único. DJ collective Sazón Libre, who is based in the Mission District, will provide the music during the Fiesta Gigante Saturdays.
On the food side, the Giants are debuting Lucky Fries, a Birria Loaded Grilled Cheese sandwich, a new carvery, a dessert chimichanga, and two new hot dogs, among other items. Sports Radio Service’s Marko Ukalovic’s favorite was the Lucky Fries. Giants writer Vince Cestone agrees. In the slideshow below, you can see all the ingredients of each food item. The Giants even are debuting a new wine club.
Another noticeable change are both the left and right field “fowl” poles. Chick-fil-A has vertical signage in classic Chick-fil-A style on the two foul poles. Both foul poles read, “Chikin iz fare.”
The Giants will open the 2026 season on March 25 against the New York Yankees at Oracle Park.

The San Jose Sharks lost 5-3 to the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Connor Murphy, Vasily Podkolzin, Max Jones and Zach Hyman scored for the Oilers. Connor Ingram made 27 saves for the win. Dmitry Orlov, Pavol Regenda and Kiefer Sherwood scored for the Sharks. Alex Nedeljkovic made 32 saves in the loss.
After the game, Sharks goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic talked about the role of the Sharks penalty kill in the third period: “The whole PK did an unbelievable job of taking back the momentum for us. I just think we gotta kind of take advantage of that a little bit.”
Sharks Head Coach Ryan Warsofsky was asked about how the ice time was allotted late in the game. He said: “For four years we’ve worked on development and getting guys better and kind of handing some things to some players. You’ve gotta earn your ice from here on out.”
Dmitry Orlov got the Sharks on the board first, 7:24 into the game. He scored with a wrist shot from close in after receiving a pass from Alexander Wennberg. An assist also went to Kiefer Sherwood.
By the end of the period, the Oilers had three goals, from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Connor Murphy and Vasily Podkolzin. One of those goals came on the power play.

In the third period, the Oilers found another gear and the Sharks did not. The Oilers outshot the Sharks 15-7 and had two goals, from Max Jones and Zach Hyman. The Sharks took two penalties and the Oilers took none.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — De’Aaron Fox and the San Antonio Spurs were in Sacramento for the Kings’ 70th game of the season on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PST.
The Kings have been on an opposite trajectory from the Spurs since last year, when the Kings traded De’Aaron Fox to San Antonio. The Kings have endured a disastrous season that has seen them lose the most games in a row in franchise history as they barrel toward a 60-loss season.
The Kings have turned their attention to development, but that was put on hold Tuesday as the Spurs pummeled the Kings at Golden 1 Center. The Spurs defeated the Kings in blowout fashion, 132-104, in a quick affair that lasted 1 hour and 59 minutes.
In the first quarter, the Spurs got off to a raucous start, outscoring the Kings 39-22 as they totally outmatched the Kings’ efforts early in the game. The Spurs had three players score seven or more points in the first quarter as they started firing on all cylinders. Maxime Raynaud and Doug McDermott led the Kings in the first quarter with six points each in the first.
In the second quarter, the Kings weren’t able to stop the Spurs for a second consecutive quarter as they were embarrassed and outscored 39-25 heading into halftime. Julian Champagnie scored nine points to lead the Spurs in the second quarter while Daeqwon Plowden dropped eight for the Kings in the second quarter. The Spurs led the Kings 78-47 heading into halftime as the Spurs recorded 27 assists and just two turnovers in the first half of action.
In the third quarter, the Kings calmed the sea and were able to put together a respectable quarter to keep the score right where it was heading into the quarter. The Kings and Spurs both scored 34 points in the third as Maxime Raynaud went on a tear, scoring 16 of the Kings’ points. Friend and fellow Frenchman Victor Wembanyama also put up double-digit scoring in the third as he scored 10 points.
In the fourth quarter, the Kings outscored the Spurs for the first time all night, where they put up 23 points compared to the Spurs’ 20. However, it was, of course, too little, too late as the Spurs defeated the Kings 132-104. Maxime Raynaud led the Kings in defeat with 32 points as Nique Clifford dropped 15 in the tough loss for Sacramento. The Spurs finished the game with seven players in double figures as the Kings’ defense did very little to contain them throughout the game.
Potentially the most impressive stat of the night was from the Spurs as a team as they recorded 41 assists in the game. Twenty-seven of the Spurs’ 41 assists came in the first half as they only committed two turnovers in that span, which has happened only six other times in NBA history.
The Sacramento Kings stay home to take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night at 7 p.m. PST.

NBA Looking for Expansion to Las Vegas and Seattle
That’s Amaury News and Commentary
by Amaury Pi-Gonzalez
Las Vegas never had an NBA team. The Seattle SuperSonics played at KeyArena in Seattle from 1967 to 2008. They left Seattle because of a lease dispute with Key Arena, and since then, there has been no NBA action in the Emerald City. I traveled there with the Warriors, and I remember they had very good fans and a Hall of Fame coach, Lenny Wilkins.
Las Vegas once had the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, which relocated to San Antonio in 2008. However, they never had a permanent NBA team. The city hosts the annual NBA Summer League and is a leading contender for a future expansion team.
As of 2025-2026, the average NBA franchise is valued at over $4.6 billion, while some teams, such as the Warriors, Knicks, and Lakers, are valued between $7 billion and $11 billion. In the case of Las Vegas, if they succeed, they will now have all the top 4 professional leagues joining the MLB (A’s), NFL (Raiders), and NHL (Golden Knights), “one-stop shopping for major league sports”.
While Seattle (if they succeed) will have a return to the NBA for the first time since 2018. Attention Fans. This is not personal, it is business. “Everything in America is a business, and sports franchises fall into that category, and it seems like profit is more important than team history” (A’s are the best example).

Utah Jazz guard Elijah Harkless (16) drives past the Sacramento Kings guard DeMar DeRozan (10) in the second half at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Sat Mar 14, 2026 (AP News photo)
Sacramento Kings podcast Tony Renteria:
#1 How can the Sacramento Kings slow down the San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembanyama in the paint and on the boards? The Spurs’ star big man has been a dominant presence this season and is a key matchup problem for Sacramento.
#2 Who will step up offensively for Sacramento with key injuries affecting the roster? Several Kings players, including Domantas Sabonis (out) and Keegan Murray (out), have been dealing with injuries, which could reshape the rotation.
#3 Can veteran guard Russell Westbrook provide leadership and scoring if he’s available? Westbrook has been listed as a game-time decision due to injury, making his availability a key storyline.
#4 Will Sacramento’s perimeter players take advantage of the Spurs’ defensive matchups? Guards like Malik Monk and DeMar DeRozan could be crucial in generating offense against San Antonio’s defense.
#5 Can the Kings keep the game competitive against one of the West’s top teams? San Antonio enters the matchup with a strong 49–18 record, while Sacramento has struggled at 18–51, creating a major challenge for the Kings.

Sacramento Kings podcast Barbara Mason:
1. After upsetting the Los Angeles Saturday night 118-109 the Sacramento Kings. The Kings took on the struggling Utah Jazz Sunday at Golden 1 getting the win a second game in a row 116-111.
2 After the first 12 minutes of play in a very close game the Kings amped it up in the second quarter closing out the first half on a good note.
3. After a solid first half, the Kings only had six turnovers and once again as the Kings have seen over the past two games DeMar DeRozan was leading the pack with points scored.
4.In the final minutes of this game the Kings were clinging onto a two-point lead after having led by as many as 12 points in the quarter. Who stepped up to finish off the Jazz giving the Kings their second win in a row and their fourth win in the past five games.
5.Tuesday night the Kings will take on the second place in the Western Conference San Antonio Spurs at Golden 1. They will face Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox and company a huge ask. The Kings will have their hands full in this game although lately they have played very well against upper echelon teams.
