On the San Francisco 49ers podcast:

#1 San Francisco 49ers Brandon Ayiuk is in the last year of his five year contract. Ayiuk was offered $26 million from 49ers for a new contract. The Pittsburgh Steelers offering Aiyuk $30 million is just not true the Steelers don’t want to get into trouble for tampering.

#2 Aiyuk says the loss of last season’s Super Bowl still stings he said that he’s still down from it. What are some of the things that makes Aiyuk lose interest in coming back to the 49ers? How much did losing the Super Bowl last season play a role in his future decision?

#3 Aiyuk said a recent interview “All I can do is put my head down and go to work every single day pray ask God to lead me.” Aiyuk also said about the 49ers not wanting him, “they told me they didn’t think they were on the same page.”

San Francisco 49ers podcast with David Zizmor: 49ers lawyers outsmart Santa Clara officials; Deals work to 49ers favor financially

Levi Stadium photo set up for football (photo by the San Francisco 49ers)

On the San Francisco 49ers podcast with David Zizmor:

#1 In 2014 the City of Santa Clara was reported to have made a bad deal with the San Francisco 49ers over the Levis Stadium that is public owned by the City. The City got “outplayed” according to a Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury.

#2 Dave as we discussed you mentioned it was just a matter of the 49ers had smarter lawyers at the time they worked the contracts in their favor and pretty much got the Santa Clara City official to go right along with their plans. Also the 49ers had a conflict with the City of Santa Clara over how stadium maintenance was going to get paid and their relationship with Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor has been very adversarial through her first and now current second administrations.

#3 The 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk are at an impasse do you see them signing him to an extension.

Super Bowl LVIII/Headline Sports podcast with Charlie O: Super Bowl rematch number two for Chiefs and 49ers

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addresses the media at Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (NewsNation photo)

On Headline Sports podcast with Charlie O:

#1 Charlie, this Super Bowl LVIII is rematch of the 2019 Super Bowl LIV which the Kansas City Chiefs won. The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in that one 31-20.

#2 Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes was under center for the Chiefs and three Super Bowls later Mahomes is back to face the 49ers again.

#3 The last time the 49ers won a Super Bowl was 1994 for Super Bowl XXIX when the 49ers crushed the San Diego Chargers 49-26 at Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami. That was when Steve Young was the 49ers quarterback and ironically Steve recently did an interview with 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.

#4 The 49ers came into the post season as the No.1 seeded team in the NFC and has even though barely carried their position all the way through to get to the Super Bowl.

#5 The Chiefs were the No.3 seeded team in the AFC but you can say that was only in name as they Chiefs was the most feared team to face through the playoffs.

#6 Last question it’s a headline question with the Super Bowl in Las Vegas after Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodwin saying that the Oakland A’s belong in Oakland it got the attention of the media covering the Super Bowl in Vegas and took off.

Super Bowl LVIII/San Francisco 49ers podcast with Joe Hawkes: Taking a look how each team matches up in what could be a close game

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy addresses the press on media day on Mon Feb 5, 2024 in Las Vegas (AP News photo)

On the Super Bowl LVIII/San Francisco 49ers podcast with Joe Hawkes:

#1 Joe, how much of an impact will the hard surface of the UNLV practice field be on the San Francisco 49ers? Head coach Kyle Shanahan feels it won’t have an impact and that it’s all good.

#2 If this was the test this is the big exam and for 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will he get the time he needs to get the ball away against a rather quick Kansas City Chiefs pass rush?

#3 Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that it’s Thursday and the game is in sight and he wants to get through with practice as the Super Bowl is just days away.

#4 Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said that this being their third Super Bowl in five years and Kelce said three is a big number in terms of dynasties and said he was hopeful the Chiefs can get this thing.

#5 So last and final question for you to complete your assortment of questions for the 2023-24 season and Super Bowl LVIII what’s your prediction for Sunday at Allegiant Stadium with these two evenly matched teams?

Super Bowl LVIII/San Francisco 49ers podcast with David Zizmor: Will rough UNLV field play a role in 49ers Super Bowl; Will Mahomes’ father DUI arrest be a distraction?

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan speaks with the media on Mon Feb 5, 2024 said the field the 49ers are practicing on at UNLV in Las Vegas is just fine and they’ll get through it up until game day at the Super Bowl this Sun Feb 11, 2024

On the 49ers podcast with David:

#1 David, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said using the UNLV field to practice on was no problem and it was all good. The issues reported were that the field was rough, it was not terribly torn up but for an NFL team to practice on a semi chewed up field could that impact their game as they will practice on that field all week leading up to the Super Bowl.

#2 Meanwhile the Kansas City Chiefs are using the Las Vegas Raiders practice facility. The 49ers were welcome to use the practice facility but declined and elected to use UNLV’s. Do you see that this could be an advantage for the Chiefs using a NFL facility going into the Super Bowl.

#3 Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes father Patrick Mahomes Sr was arrested for DUI he did bail out but there was a lot of publicity over the arrest and Mahomes was asked about it during media day at the Super Bowl saying that it’s an internal family issue that he’ll deal with it privately. Could this turn out to be a distraction for the Chiefs and Mahomes?

San Francisco 49ers/Super Bowl LVIII podcast with David Zizmor: How close will this match up be in Vegas?

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (left) and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (right) match up at Allegiant Stadium for Super Bowl LII on Sun Feb 11, 2024 (Getty photo)

On the San Francisco 49ers podcast with David Zizmor:

#1 The San Francisco 49ers had to come back from behind in order to defeat the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions to get here. Brock Purdy had to convert six out seven passes to get the game winning score against the Packers. Purdy again had to hurry up the offense against the Lions and capitalize on Lions head coach Dan Campbell’s refusal to kick field goals and throw for a broken up touchdown.

#2 Dave talk about Purdy’s performance against the Lions he went 20-31, 267 yards, and one touchdown. He got San Francisco out of a tight jam in a come back against the Lions 24-7 at Levi Stadium to come back and win 34-31.

#3 The 49ers and Chiefs duel in Super Bowl LIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this could be one for the ages how close do you see these teams matched up?
