The position of catcher looks to be pretty solid for the Oakland A’s as catcher Jonathan Lucroy has come into camp providing leadership and great defense. Lucroy who handles pitchers well can be just what the A’s are looking for working with, calling, mixing of pitches and knowing the personality of the rotation. Bruce Maxwell said that he’s trying to lose some weight coming into camp at 270 pounds. Maxwell did swing the bats on Saturday going deep for a two-run homer.

On the program discussions on the rebuilding in the off season for the San Francisco Giants, manager Bruce Bochy will look to his farm system for prospects and the team will look at who will stay or who they can deal. Even amongst people who will remain nameless within the Giants organization there’s even been talk to move Joe Panik you could always find a second baseman because they’re easy to find why would anyone give you much in return for Panik?

This is someone you want to keep around defense up the middle is important and if your give Brandon Crawford the opportunity to work together for five years they will be a better double play combination than Jose Uribe and Robby Thompson were in the 90s. Panik is a player that reminds you of Thompson a lot. Who could forget that double play that Panik made in the 2014 World Series and Panik made one of the best double plays we’ve ever seen.

There’s much, much more from Il Foranio listen to the podcast below:

I want to thank our hosts Il Fornaio general manager Sergio Lopez, sales and marketing coordinator Tammy Rowe, Ken Johns assistant manager, and manger Andrew Rowe. I will have some questions for Sergio and his staff but first I want to remind you,

Il Fornaio’s goal was, and still is, to offer the most authentic Italian dining experience available outside of Italy.

The company’s philosophy emphasizes serving the highest-quality food from the freshest ingredients in stylishly comfortable surroundings, while providing exceptional value.
