#1 Former San Francisco defensive end 49ers Aldon Smith was cut by the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday due to non football related issues. Smith was trying to make the Seahawks as defensive end and had problems in the past when he played for the 49ers.

#2 Smith 31, had had alcohol and legal issues for most of his time with the 49ers. Smith had played with the 49ers from 2011-2014 and with the Oakland Raiders 2015-17. He was charged with second degree battery in Louisiana in April. The April incident took place just after the Seahawks signed Smith a NFL minimum salary agreement.

#3 New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims said that when he got food poisoning it took a big toll on him. Mims used to enjoy salmon but not anymore he got a bad batch of it and ended up getting the food poisoning and lost 20 pounds. Mims suffered from intestinal infection and it took two weeks to recover as he was on anti biotics. He was vomiting for two weeks.

#4 Tony, ever since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots the question each year has been who was going to start for the Pats. For awhile they went with Cam Newton. Head coach Bill Belichick said that it’s Newton quarterback Mac Jones has been looking great in camp and the Pats who play the Washington Football Team tonight on Thursday Night Football will be looking closely at Jones and what he can do.

#5 San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is very impressed with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. Sanu said he’s in the best shape of his life. His numbers in nine seasons in the NFL 4,694 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns.

#1 Tony, 2021 Tokyo Olympics it was an event that had the Japanese populous saying it was a bad idea to even have the Olympics but here it is and the sport of softball kicked off the games on Tuesday it’s the first time softball has been back to the games in 13 years.

#2 Today the Milwaukee Bucks celebrate their championship victory in the NBA Finals over the Phoenix Suns winning four games to two with a celebration parade in downtown Milwaukee. This was the Bucks first championship since 1971.

#3 Tony, the Oakland A’s turned down the Oakland City Council’s offer of approving one of the infrastructure plans but turned down the other. The A’s said they’ll take their marbles to Las Vegas hence team president David Kaval in Vegas this week to meet with city officials about building a new park for the A’s. Was the turn down by the A’s a matter of being greedy because they wanted more out of the deal or was it a matter of being cheap not wanting to spend their own money for the other infrastructure.

#4 Tony, with the Delta Variant has spread, hospitals are filling up, an outbreak is in full effect. Are ballparks and arenas filling up without wearing masks a huge risk considering what’s going no social distancing and do you see places shutting down again?

#5 Tony, the Seattle Kraken got cracking with their first player signing of unrestricted free agent defenceman Jamie Oleksiak who played the last three seasons with the Dallas Stars. Oleksiak will get an annual salary of $4.6 million for five years. Expansion hockey has come to Seattle.

#1 Tony the Raiders are coming off one of the toughest defeats this season against the Indianapolis Colts in their last game last Sunday. The Colts got a good jump on Las Vegas early scoring ten points in each of the first and second quarters for a 20-14 half time lead.

#2 Raiders quarterback Derek Carr just couldn’t get any traction he did he one keeper for a score but 316 yards throw and only two touchdowns the Colts were just too much and Carr could only struggle under center all game long.

#3 Tony talk about the turnovers, Carr threw an interception and the other turnovers just threw Las Vegas’ game off and the Raiders never were in this one.

#4 Short turnaround the Raiders didn’t very much rest after playing last Sunday they go right back at it again tonight on Thursday Night Football that’s got to take a toll on teams with that short turnaround.

#5 The Los Angeles Chargers have won two of their last six games, they did beat the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday and the Raiders host them tonight. Which Raider team shows up tonight against the Chargers?

#1 Tony as you know Santa Clara County has shutdown all sports activities on any level in line with Coivd-19 protocols. The 49ers are now playing the rest of their home schedule in Arizona unless something changes in January and the Stanford Cardinal football will play their remaining games at Washington Sat Dec 5th and at Oregon State Sat Dec 12th. Stanford’s men’s next two games against Cal Poly and Loyola Marymount have been canceled and they will play at USC on Dec 13th and the Stanford women will play at UNLV Las Vegas.

#2 The Golden State Warriors reported they had two players who tested positive and team president Bob Meyers was asked how the Warriors and the NBA setting would be played outside of a bubble environment like they had last season when all teams played in Orlando.

#3 Lots of excitement surrounding the Sacramento Kings as they prepare for the 2020-21 season. Kings general manager Monte McNair feels very positive that they will sign and get Buddy Hield on board.

#4 Regarding D’Aaron Fox is excited to be on board in Sacramento and says he’s excited being committed to winning and that’s what it’s always been about and is happy to have got a contract extension in Sacramento.

#5 Tony talk about the Las Vegas Raiders crushing 43-6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr turned the ball over four times for a total of five Raider turnovers. Was this team not focused or were they just resting on their laurels after a near loss to the Kansas City Chiefs the week before?

#1 Tony the New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano who was suspended on Wednesday for coming up positive for PEDs may not be back with the Mets. This is Robinson’s second suspension for PED use.

#2 Cano was considered a Hall of Fame candidate who was just 376 hits away from reaching a career total of 3,000 most likely will never see that plateau and no team may pick him up because of his steroid use and suspensions.

#3 Tony tell us about the Las Vegas Raiders here they go again seven players go on the Covid-19 list, saftey Jonathan Abram, defensive tackles Maliek Collins, Johnathan Hankins, Kendal Vickers, defensive end Arden Key, cornerback Isaiah Johnson, and defensive end David Irving from the practice squad. Tony how will the absence of these seven players impact the Raiders going into Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

#4 The Raiders had a success in the ground game in their last game against the Broncos could they get that same satisfaction against the Chiefs this coming Sunday at Allegiant Stadium? The Raiders are the only team in the NFL to beat the Chiefs so far this season.

#5 The Sacramento Kings Bogdan Bogdanovic will enter restricted free agency after a deal that would have been a trade and sign deal fell though that would have sent him to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Kings and Bucks did have an agreement but the Bucks were able to acquire Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Hornets as the Bucks were looking for someone that could compliment Giannis Antetokounmpo on offense. Will Kings still try and deal Bogdanovic somewhere else or will the Kings work on trying to keep him.

#2 Bucs quarterback Tom Brady like Brown so much when he was in New England he got Brown on the team and even had Brown stay at him home, Brady pushed for Brown again to come to Tampa Bay will there be anything different from the last two times Brown was on an NFL team like the Raiders and then the Patriots?

#3 The Las Vegas Raiders (4-3) got a big win over the Cleveland Browns last Sunday in Cleveland 16-6. It was the fourth quarter that the Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for the game’s only touchdown to wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and it was enough to get the Raiders over the top.

#4 The Raiders are headed for Los Angeles to face the LA Chargers (2-5) this Sunday. The Chargers have struggled they have lost four of their last five games including a close game to the Denver Broncos 31-30 where the Broncos came back scoring three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

#5 San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo whose expected to be out of action for the next six weeks there is no doubt that his absence will have a huge impact on the 49ers including in tonight’s game against the Green Bay Packers in Santa Clara for Thursday Night Football.

#1 Tony talk about Cleveland pitchers Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac who both left their hotels to be with friends while in Chicago. Plesac was busted trying to get back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning and Clevinger didn’t return to the hotel was found out in a later investigation by MLB security.

#2 Plesac had to drive back in a rental car and Clevinger took the team flight back to Cleveland but later was found out that he was out with Plesac with friends in Chicago possibly exposing themselves to Covid-19.

#3 The NFL is taking a lesson in all of this and they want strict protocols to watch the players that they don’t sneak out and meet with friends will the NFL take a page out of the MLB rulebook and batton stricter guidelines about leaving a bubble?

#4 Should the NFL have bubble locations split up amongst the west, central and east with the same kind of bubble rules the NBA and NHL have?

#5 16 years in a Dallas Cowboys uniform Jason Witten was waiting for the call to join the team for a 17th year but that call never came and now he’s in a Las Vegas Raiders combine after reaching out to Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, Tony what are your thoughts on Witten joining Las Vegas?

#1 The New York Giants offensive tackle Nate Solder has opted out of playing this season because of family concerns he said he had been praying to God and wrestling with the concerns of playing this season and came to the conclusion it was a family decision to opt out.

#2 Three time lineman and Philadelphia right tackle Lane Johnson has tested positive for Coronavirus and will be sidelined on the reserve/Covid-19 list. Johnson said that he will follow the team and NFL protocols and looks forward to coming back after being quarantined.

#3 Tony San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said that despite a 2021 salary cap floor of $175 million which is $40 million less that was anticipated before the Covid-19 epidemic the 49ers feel like they can get a deal done with tight end George Kittle who is expected to make $2.1 million this season which is the last year remaining on his contract.

#4 Tony talk about Los Angeles Charger defensive end Joey Bosa who had agreed to a five year extension with the Chargers at a price tag of $135 million. This season is the last year on Bosa five year rookie contract with the Chargers.

#5 Jamal Adams who is a All Pro safety who was dealt from the New York Jets to the Seattle Seahawks was also sought by the 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. Adams deal was to make $9.86 million in his last year of his contract with the Jets.

#1 The Sacramento Kings assistant coach Roy Rana says he’s comfortable being at the bubble in Orlando he said upon arrival that everything has gone smooth and he’s things aren’t bad at all. Florida is leading three other countries in the world in Coronvirus cases.

#2 Rana was asked that about safety at the bubble and said there was some semblance of anxiety but after a while the players, coaches, Kings employees settled down and are ready to get down to business.

#3 The Kings might get a new life in these last six regular season games which starts out against the San Antonio Spurs Fri Jul 30th. The Kings started the season with injuries to their key players D’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley but hope to get a shot at the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference.

#4 The Kings reported on Wednesday that they have a fourth player Harrison Barnes who has come down with Coronavirus. Barnes tweeted that he’s quarantined and is abiding by the NBA’s shelter in place protocol in the Sacramento. Buddy Hield, Alex Len and Jabari Parker are the other Kings players who have tested positive.

#5 Kings head coach Luke Walton said that it’s been a tough four months off but the team is looking forward to getting on the floor and making things happen. Walton said he’s preparing the team and some critics say this might very well be the Kings best chance to get into the playoffs when other teams might be rusty coming back.

#3 Additionally Parker was seen at a restaurant but told the press that he fulfilled the shut in protocols for isolation but might have been in violation of the NBA shut in which is 14 days

#4 Taking a look at the Kings remaining eight regular season games just before post season starting July 31st through Aug 13th can the Kings do it? They’ve got some very tough opponents including Mavericks, Rockets, and Lakers.
