#1 Bridget, the A’s jumped on the Los Angeles Angels in the bottom of the first inning scoring four runs to take a 4-0 lead.The win helps the A’s avoid losing 100 games for the season.
#2 In the first the A’s got hitting with a Lawrence Butler RBI scoring Henry Bolte making 1-0. Donavon Walton hit a three home run making it 4-0.
#3 In the second inning Bolte slugged a right field double that scored Malika Williams A’s take a 5-0. The A’s get a leg up scoring early in the ball game.Bolte had a big night with two singles and two doubles Wednesday.
#4 The A’s picked up two more runs when Shean Langeliers hit a two run double in the bottom of the sixth inning that scored Bolte and Williams for a 7-3 lead and the eventual win.
#5 A’s closer Elvis Alvarado closed the door on the Angels in the top of the ninth striking out two batters and a ground out for a one, two, three innings.
#6 A’s open up a four game set with the Houston Astros after concluding their brief two game set with the Angels. Starting pitchers for Thursday for Sacramento and Houston are to be announced. First pitch 6:40pm PDT at Sutter Health Park.
