#2 The Detroit Tigers swept the Athletics in a three game series on Sunday the A’s were dominated by Detroit pitching and had no run production in the 11-0 loss.
#3 A’s starter Gage Jump pitched 3.2 innings four hits and six earned runs the one thing you want to get out of your starter the low run count against the Tiger line up and Jump a first year pitcher on the A’s staff try as hard as he may allowed four runs in the top of the fourth as the Tigers took a 6-0 lead.
#4 The A’s have lost 29 of their last 36 games in a tough stretch, on this last homestand the A’s lost three out of four games to the Boston Red Sox and the three game sweep with the Tigers. The A’s in the standings are just 2.5 games over the last place Los Angeles Angels in the AL West.
