#1 It’s in the genes San Francisco Giants have drafted another member of the Bonds family Peyton Bonds from the amateur draft on Saturday joining the club in the third round Peyton is a the grandson of former Giants outfielders Bobby Bonds and the newphew of Barry Bonds. Peyton who is 6-foot-5 at 230 pounds played at Rugters last season hitting .352 with six home runs and 13 stolen bases. Can Peyton Bonds make the climb through the minors to the show.

#2 It’s been a long time waiting but Tyler Mahle had arrived winning for the first time since mid April picking up his first win improving his record to 2-8 with an 5.31 ERA. Mahle on Saturday pitched seven innings allowing five hits and one earned run striking out four hitters. A good outing for Mahle.

#3 Giants Casey Schmitt slugged a three run sixth inning home run to tie up the ball game as the Giants eventually beat the Colorado Rockies 4-2.

#4 Trade deadline is this month of July just wanted to name some of the players who other clubs are expressing interest in Schmitt, pitcher Robbie Ray, third baseman Matt Chapman, and infielder Luis Arraez. What are the chances that some or all of these players could be sent elsewhere before the month is over.

#5 Colorado Rockies and Giants conclude this three game Sunday at Oracle Park starting pitchers for Colorado RHP Michael Lorenzen (3-9 ERA 6.46) for San Francisco RHP Trevor McDonald (3-7 ERA 5.46) first pitch slated for 1:05pm PDT.
