Commissioner Manfred will not discipline the Giants pitchers who wrote the Bible verse on hats that already had a monogram celebrating Pride Night at Oracle Park. However, Manfred did criticize the Giants’ protocols for this promotion.
Criticized the San Francisco Giants’ communication with their players during their annual Pride Night, noting that the team “botched guidance” regarding opt-out options. This left some players unclear on whether they could decline to wear the team’s Pride-themed caps.
