SAN JOSE–San Jose opened up the scoring with Kasper Halttunen scoring his 15th goal of the season to make it an early 1-0 San Jose lead. Henderson tied the game at 1-1 when Jackson Hallum scored his tenth goal of the season. Two minutes later, Henderson took their first 2-1 lead of the game when Braedon Bowman scored his 12th goal of the season.
Henderson’s Trevor Connelly extended their lead to 3-1 when he scored his 13th goal of the season. Henderson secured their win when Matyas Sapovaliv scored an empty net goal to make it 4-1.
After the first period, San Jose outshot Henderson ten to seven. After the second period, San Jose outshot Henderson 8-6. After the third period, Henderson outshot San Jose 15-9.
Powerplay goals played a role in Saturday night’s game. Saturday night, San Jose went 1/4 while Henderson went 1/3.
After getting pulled Friday night, Laurent Brossoit made the start for San Jose. Making 24 saves on 27 shots, Brossoit recorded Saturday night’s loss. For Henderson, Carl Lindbom made the start. Making 25 saves on 26 shots, Lindbom recorded Saturday night’s win.
