Coming into Tuesday’s game against the Colorado Eagles, the Barracuda will be looking to extend their winning streak to two after coming off of a 5-3 win over the Tucson Roadrunners last Sunday. The Barracuda couldn’t extend it to two games straight with a 6-3 loss to the Eagles.
Five seconds into a too many-men powerplay opportunity, the Barracuda won the face-off and scored first. Pavol Regenda scores his second in a Barracuda sweater, Luca Cagnoni and Danil Guschin registering the assists.
Colorado answered back scoring their own power-play goal, Jacob MacDonald scoring his tenth power play goal of the season, Jack Ahcan and T.J Tynan registering the assists. Colorado got their first lead of the game after an unfortunate bounce behind the goal. Jacob MacDonald scoring his second of the night, 19th of the season, unassisted.
San Jose tied it at 2-2 when the Barracuda took advantage of their third power play opportunity of the night. Danil Guschin scoring his sixth power play goal of the season, Luca Cagnoni registering the lone assist, his second of the night.
Colorado got their lead back when Nikita Prishchepov scored his eighth of the season, T.J Tynan registering the lone assist, his second of the night.
San Jose didn’t go down without a fight. As a result of a turnover in Colorado’s zone, Thomas Bordeleau scored his ninth of the season, assisted by Colin White. After being sent down from the Sharks, White now has three points in his last two games.
With three minutes remaining, T.J Tynan registered his third point of the night, scoring his seventh of the season. John Ludvig and Nikita Prishchepov registering the assists.
After San Jose pulled Yaroslav Askarov, leaving an empty net, Oskar Olausson scored his eighth of the season, Ivan Ivan registering the lone assist.
With 28 seconds left, Jacob MacDonald sealed the win, completing the hattrick. MacDonald scoring his third of the night, 20th of the season. Givani Smith and Mark Senden registering the assists.
