On the SJ Sharks podcast with Mary Lisa:
#1 The San Jose Sharks were shut out 5-0 by the Vegas Golden Knights Friday at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights got goals from Alex Pietrangelo, William Karlsson and Brett Howden, and two goals from Alec Martinez.
#2 This outcome on Friday was certainly different from the previous two wins where they improved on their defense getting wins against the Flyers on Tue Nov 7, 2-1 and against the Edmonton Oilers Thu Nov 9 3-2.
#3 The second period might have been the Sharks best period as they outmatched by the Vegas Golden Knights. The Knights were well rested and the Sharks played Thursday night on back to back nights. At least in the second period they didn’t give up an goals
#4 The Sharks started the third period and gave up a short handed goal and that was the indication of how the rest of the game was going to go. It was disappointing and the Sharks really did fall apart.
#5 The Anaheim Ducks will be the Sharks next opponent. The Ducks have been playing .500 hockey winning two of their last four games. The Ducks defeated the Flyers last Friday night 6-3 at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The Sharks and Ducks face off Sunday at 5:00pm PT.
