#2 Head coach Kyle Shanahan says free safety Jimmie Ward can play in a “few weeks” after he has surgery on his left hand.

#3 Kicker Sam Sloman 25 was signed to the 49ers practice squad as a back up for kicker Robbie Gould who has a knee contusion. Sloman was a seventh round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 2020.
