On the 49ers podcast with David:

#1 Dave, just wanted to start the program asking you about the torn ACL injury for cornerback Jason Verett in Detroit during the Niners season opener last Sunday Verett is out for the rest of the season. The 49ers called Richard Sherman and have been making calls and watching who would fit in best to replace Verett.

#2 The debate is growing about ripping out the green carpet which caught Verret’s leg and replace carpeted surfaces in the NFL with real grass.

#3 The injury to running back Raheem Mostert in another in a series of injuries related to the carpet at Ford Field as Mostert chipped his knee cartilage and will be out for the rest of the season and will need arthroscopic surgery.

#4 The 49ers last season led the NFL with 32 injured reserve transactions and are in the top 10 in the NFL for the last four seasons.

#5 Taking these and other unmentioned injuries under consideration how much does this change the dimensions of the game plan going into Philadelphia for next Sunday against an Eagles team that won their opening game last Sunday convincingly 32-6 against the Atlanta Falcons.
