On the Sharks podcast with Mary Lisa:
#1 The San Jose Sharks (20-26-6) couldn’t stop the favored Colorado Avalanche (34-12-4) as the Avalanche caught up to the Sharks twice to win it 5-4 on Monday night.
#2 The loss on Monday was the Sharks second straight season of being eliminated from the playoffs and you can almost be assured of some serious soul searching during the off season.
#3 Evander Kane scored a pair goals, Tomas Hertl picked up two points and Alexander Barabanov picked up his fifth point in five games were some of the Sharks offensive highlights.
#4 The Sharks will complete this two game series with the Avalanche on Wednesday night at SAP Center and most likely head coach Bob Boughner will use the younger players on the team to take a look at the future towards next season.
#5 The Sharks have seen a lot of the Avalanche three times in their last three games and goaltender Phillipp Brubauer who shut the Sharks out in the first game 3-0 last Friday and on Monday night Brubauer allowed four goals and stopped 27 shots enough for the win.
