On the Oakland Raiders podcast with J Hawkes:
#1 Oakland quarterback Derek Carr was sacked four times last Sunday by the visiting Los Angeles Chargers in the 20-6 loss.
#2 The Chargers–after the win–have now won six straight and the Raiders drop to 1-8.
#3 “This will be a year that a lot of us will never forget,” Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said postgame. “It’s painful. It’s really hard. It’s painful. It’s going to be hard to sleep again, hard to get up in the morning.”
#4 In nine games, Carr has been sacked 28 times. Carr’s sacks are the third most in the NFL tied with the Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
#5 Carr–despite the loss Sunday–is the third Raiders quarterback in Raider history to throw for 17,000 yards joining former Raiders quarterbacks Rich Gannon (17,585) and Ken Stabler (19,078).
