games.espn.com photo: Japanese pitcher/outfielder Shohei Ohtani vying for a Major League club word has it the Yankees, Rangers and Giants are the frontrunners to obtain his services

On That’s Amaury’s Podcast:

1 Miami Marlins Giancarlo Stanton dreams of once again playing in his hometown Los Angeles. The Dodgers who have the highest payroll in the majors at $244 million have no salary room or room in their outfield for Stanton. Stanton is reportedly seriously shopping in San Francisco and St Louis. Sources say that if the price is right Stanton could wind up at the Giants who reportedly said they would take on a majority of Stanton’s remaining $295 million contract that he still has with the Marlins.

It also be a package deal as 23 year old Japanese pitching/outfielder Shohei Ohtani is seriously considering coming to San Francisco as well. The New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers have also expressed interest and are trying to woo Ohtani. Ohtani like Stanton likes the idea of playing on the west coast and in that case the Seattle Mariners also are in the sweepstakes.
