The Giants reliever Will Smith will be facing Tommy John surgery to rebuild his ulnar-collateral ligament. Also on the Giants front the Giants welcome back Brandon Crawford  and Buster Posey who are coming off a successful World Baseball Classic from being part of that USA team that won it all in the tournament. Question is will the WBC have an effect on Posey and Crawford and other MLB players wearing them down before the regular season?
