Sunday night’s game at Golden 1 Arena turned out to be one of the most exciting games ever between the Toronto Raptors and the Sacramento Kings with 2.7 seconds left in the game the score was 102-99 in favor of the Kings. The Kings had tried to kill the time and managed to get a shot clock violation and got a shot off so it gave time left to the Raptors to get something going but they had to get a three.
The Raptors called a 20 second time out and in the NBA they let you put the ball in the front court. They got the ball in the front court the Raptors forward DeMarre Carroll was to inbound the ball. The inbound ball glanced off the hand of DeMarcus Cousins who was playing defense which should have started the clock. The officials switch to start the clock was delayed and the ball changed directions off the hand of Cousins and the Raptors Terrence Ross took the shot for a three pointer which would have the tied the game. The officials went to review and it was ruled that the official on the floor his clock switch was delayed and that in real time the time would have ran out and the Kings should be the real winner of the game and thus the officials took away the three pointer and the Kings won it.
