On the Giants-Mets NL Wild Card postcast with Michael Duca:
The thing about the San Francisco Giants facing Noah Syndergard and the New York Mets this is going to be a difficult one to get past but it’s very likely they will do it. The Giants are coming off that big sweep a three game sweep against the Los Angeles Dodgers and they spent the weekend believing in themselves. On Sunday after getting the first two runs on the board they just took off from there.
The Giants were in it six pitches into the game. They weren’t over analyzing they weren’t thinking about how to hit a breaking pitch from starter Dodgers Kenta Maeda. They didn’t wait around to see seven or eight pitches and try and figure out what Maeda had to offer and they came up and started whacking at strikes.
