On the 49ers podcast with Joe, after much speculation quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be backing up opening night starter Blaine Gabbert. Kaepernick plans to donate $1 million toward charity that benefits victims of oppression by law enforcement officials particularly those who were shot while unarmed.

Meanwhile the 49ers will start Blaine Gabbert as the starting quarterback for the season opener on Mon Sep 12th vs. the Los Angeles Rams at Levis Stadium. Amongst the receivers to look for Torrey Smith, Aaron Burbridge, Clinton Patton, and Rod Streater.
