SANTA CLARA–I defend Colin Kaepernick right not to stand during the National Anthem, because this country does not considers that a crime. He has not violated any laws and he(as everybody else)in this country has the right to free speech and to demonstrate.

But. I stand everytime the National Anthem is played before a sporting event, because many people died for the right of the 49ers quarterback, so he can have the freedom not to stand.

I stand up because I, as a minority, was given the opportunity to come to the United States and enjoy the freedoms and opportunity that my country of origin never granted me, as well as is the case for millions of other people who came to this “unique country in the world”.

I stand because although this is not a perfect country, I love and respect all the principals for which this country stands for.

And finally I stand for the 49ers quarterback who if he doesn’t play well he might have to sit more than just during the pregame National Anthem, but during the actual game.
