On the A’s podcast with Charlie O, the current state of the A’s is not very good. Right at the All Star break the A’s are 38-51 their fourth in the AL West. Their 15 1/2 games behind division leading Texas. Their seven and half games behind third place Seattle. That’s their bench mark.

The next jump would be to getting into third place their seven games behind Seattle. In today’s game there’s a wild card watcher. Their 12 games behind in the wild card Toronto in the American League. Which is kind of ironic since the Jays are coming into Oakland this weekend.
