For A’s pitcher Jarrod Parker whose on the 60 day DL due to an elbow injury was not going to be in the starting rotation as Parker would have been coming out of the bullpen for the A’s had he stayed healthy. The A’s are going to have to go in a different direction and try and find someone to fill in in that slot. What A’s manager Bob Melvin has in mind for the A’s and we’ll see what happens.
The A’s have some flexibility they picked up outfielder Chris Coghlan as well as Mark Canha at first base. Coco Crisp will be coming back with Billy Burns in center and Josh Reddick in right the A’s have a pretty good depth and they have a lot of flexibility the A’s have a lot of players that can play more than one position.
