SANTA CLARA–The latest scoop after San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly said on Thursday that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick indicated to him that he wanted to stay with the club. He must had a change of heart between that conversation and yesterday as Kaepernick’s agent said that Kaepernick wants a trade and he has several options like Philadelphia, Washington, or Cleveland.
If you can say the 49ers organization is good at one thing they’re good at it’s screwing everything up and everything they’ve done with Kaepernick is in the service of screwing him over and as much as they’ve said they want to keep him around. The thing that’s really been happening since Kaepernick took over in the middle of the 2012 season and won the job as starter from former 49ers quarterback Alex Smith he got the team into the playoffs and got them into the Super Bowl.
They had another Championship game where they lost to the Seattle Seahawks they followed with a mediocre 8-8 season and then last season Kaepernick got yanked out of the line up after play six or seven games playing pretty poorly. At all times at least in the last few years especially this last season the 49ers were not particularly supportive of Kaepernick as a player.
