On the Super Bowl 50 podcast with Joe Hawkes today, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has had quite a year and a post season Joe takes a look at what’s expected of him during Super Bowl 50 and what he’s up against facing the Denver Broncos. Newton has compiled some real Super Bowl type numbers with 3837 yards passing, 296 completions and 35 touchdowns during the season.
Newton has been criticized for his touchdown celebrations and his on field characteristics Newton argues he’s not doing anything any different than any other NFL quarterback and wants to be treated fairly like the other quarterbacks in the league and would like the stereotyping to stop.
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been asked about the HGH delivery to his home and his wife’s alleged involvement in that report by Al Jazeera. Manning told the media on Thursday that the story was “garbage then and it’s still garbage now”
Manning stated that he was not commenting on any “last rodeos” or “retiring” after Super Bowl 50. There has been speculation that Manning would seek out another team after the Big Game and the Houston Texans have been tossed around as one of those teams interested.
