ALAMEDA–It’s fitting way to go out after playing 18 years in the NFL at age 39 years old and Charles Woodson will hang em up after Thursday night’s Christmas eve special at the Oakland Coliseum against the San Diego Chargers. After Thursday this will be the last time that Woodson will play in Oakland as the Raiders will finish their 2015 schedule on the road for their final game in Kansas City which will be Woodson’s last game of his career.
The Raiders fans get to see arguably one of the greatest defensive players at that position and there are some rumors that he would possibly play a little bit of offense according to Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave. Woodson is just a phenomenal player.
You would think that he would have a little more in the tank but he mentioned that it was more mentally why he was leaving the game not physically and that Woodson says he couldn’t play football again. Physically is not the reason why he’s going to retire after he was dealing with his shoulder injury.
