On the NFL podcast with Tony San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula was blamed for the team’s failures and there has been talk that Tomsula’s job is hanging in the balance. It was team general manager Trent Baalke who gave Tomsula the roster of players that he has to work with. When Tomsula walked into this job he had a number of first stringers who retired, players who didn’t work out because of off field legal issues, or had or feared injuries.
49ers quarterback Blaine Gabbert labored with the offense in Seattle in his second game starting since 49ers starter Colin Kaepernick was placed on injured reserve. Gabbert saw the Hawks defense shut down the San Francisco offense and he wanted to quickly put this trip to Seattle behind him.
