On the Sharks podcast with Len:

#1 The San Jose Sharks and the Arizona Coyotes were all knotted up in a 3-3 duel that was all the Yotes needed to come back and score three goals in the third period for a three goal win 6-3 on home ice in Glendale.

#2 The Coyotes Taylor Hall and Phil Kessel both found the back end of the net Tuesday night against San Jose both scoring twice and were the difference in the Coyotes offense

#3 The Sharks knew going into this one in Glendale the Coyotes would be a tough customer and after this game was tied up the Sharks were counting on their defense but the Coyotes used their game plan to stay in the Sharks zone camp out there and score three late goals to help them win it.

#4 For the Sharks goaltender Aaron Dell 38 saves, four goals let in and a rough night in front of the net for Dell

Matt joins Sports Talk for the NHL podcasts each Saturday.

#1 The San Jose Sharks, who have many European star players, will not be part of the 2020 NHL Global Series held in Prague next season. The Buffalo Sabres and Tampa Bay Lightning will meet in Stockholm tonight for the first of two games. In the early part of October at the start of the NHL season in 2020, it’ll be the Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators playing twice in Prague, while Colorado and Columbus face off later in the season at Hartwell Arena in Helinski.

#2 The Lighting and Sabres battled in Stockholm Friday to a Lightning 3-2 win. The Bolts’ Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevskiy both scored. Both games in Stockholm between the two teams are sold out in Sweden as part of the NHL Global Series.

#3 The Edmonton Oilers came away with a 4-0 shutout at the Rogers Centre. The Oilers’ Mikko Koskinin stopped 26 shots in goal and Ale Chiasson scored and had an assist in a win that snapped their two-game losing streak against New Jersey on Friday night.

#4 The Detroit Red Wings, who had been struggling, shocked the Original Six Hockey World Friday night with a 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins. The Wings’ Robby Fabbri scored twice in his first game with the Red Wings. it was a win that snapped the Red Wings’ four-game losing streak. Most shockingly, they beat a very tough and challenging Bruins team.

#5 The Winnipeg Jets’ Kyle Connor found the back of the net and got an assist in the Jets win over visiting Vancouver 4-1. The Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck stopped 31 Canucks shots.

San Jose Sharks podcast with Mary Lisa Walsh: Sharks on 6-game homestand, can they right the ship at home?

On the Sharks podcast with Mary Lisa Walsh:

#1 After losing six of their last seven games, the San Jose Sharks hope to get back on track with their current home stand. Will being back in San Jose help them forget about the last road trip?

#2 Did the Sharks’ effort on Friday night against the Winnipeg Jets show anything? Although losing by a goal, this serves as some sort of hope that they can stay in some of these games.

#3 Talk about the suspension of the Winnipeg Jets’ Adam Lowry, who served the second of his four-game suspension. The Jets came into San Jose 6-7. While they could use Lowry, they have the personnel to win

#4 Mary Lisa, talk about the Sharks offense. Just not enough to catch the Jets the Sharks got goals from Evander Kane and Tomas Hertl, but the effort fell short.

#5 The Sharks play the second of back to back games tonight at SAP Center against the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks had won five straight until they ran into the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night and lost by a goal 2-1. Mary Lisa tells us how she sees this match.
