#1 Minnesota Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson stopped 39 Buffalo Sabre shots against for a 1-0 shutout at Key Bank Center in Buffalo on Wednesday. Gustavasson chalked up his eighth NHL career shutout and it was his second shutout for the season
#2 St Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington save 31 shots and set a record for the most wins by a Blues goaltender. Binnington’s 152nd win did it in 298 games and passes former Blues goalie Mike Liut who had 151 wins in 347 games. The Blues shutout the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday 3-0.
#3 The Carolina Hurricanes came back from behind to beat the New York Rangers at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh on Wednesday 4-3. Jackson Blake scored the go ahead goal in the third period at 12:01. Blake took a pass from Jack Drury and beat Ranger goaltender Igor Shesterkin with a wrist shot.
#4 The Detroit Red Wings Lucas Raymond scored the game winning overtime goal to help defeat the Calgary Flames 2-1 at Little Caesars Palace in Detroit on Wednesday night. Raymond has now scored in four straight games with his sixth goal of the year.
#5 Washington Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren accidently shot a puck into his own net. Lindgren tried to clear the puck around the boards but instead shot the puck in his own net that hit the lower front end of the net giving the Tampa Bay Lightning Brayden Point credit for the goal at 7:25 for a hat trick and a 4-3 lead. The Caps rallied with goals from Tom Wilson at 3:26 to tie the game 4-4 and at 16:34 Wilson scored again which proved to be the game winner making it 5-4.
