NBA Playoffs report: Heat seeking revenge on Pacers after game 1 loss;Spurs handle OKC with no problems

by David Zizmor

San Antonio vs. Oklahoma: The Spurs have the home court advantage opeing up their first two games against the Thunder and they already took game one by a wide margin 122-105. It really wasn’t much of a battle on Monday night in San Antonio.

They outscored the Oklahoma City Thunder by 17 and the Spurs outscored the Thunder in the fourth quarter by 14 points. OKC came within striking range in the first three quarters but the Spurs pulled away and got the victory. The Spurs Tim Duncan had a very Tim Duncan like game he came out there and dropped 27 points, seven boards, 11-19.

Because San Antonio had such a nice lead late in the game Duncan only had to play 29 mintues in this one and that was even a bigger plus for them. The older guy has the impact and doesn’t even have to stick around for all 48 minutes of this because OKC didn’t even keep it close enough.

Duncan is going to be very fresh for game number two on Wednesday and it’s kind of what you expect from the Spurs, they just go about their business and get it done. They’ve been there so many times at this point it’s almost like clock work. It’s not going to be this easy in game number two on Wednesday night or the rest of the series because the Thunder are too good of a team.

Indiana vs. Miami: The Indiana Pacers victory over the Miami Heat is surprising in game number one 107-96, and we’ve been saying all along the Pacers have not been playing well for maybe half of this season. It’s one thing when you have a lousy game for a stretch of a couple of weeks, the Pacers have not been good since January 1.

The Pacers were struggling for five and half months and were almost in June at this point, The Pacers were not playing well in some five months. Then all of sudden against Washington in the last couple of games in round two they kind of seem to find their mojo again.

The Pacers Roy Hibbert came around finally and got his offensive game back and got his defensive game back and sort of made an impact and took Indiana past Washington in six games. Then they go into game number one against Miami the defending World Champs and they beat them by 11.

The Pacers were in control most of the game they took the lead in the first quarter and just carried it all the way through the Pacers made a game of it. It wasn’t a blow out by any means as the Pacers won by 11. At the same time the Pacers were never really close enough for the game to be in doubt. It’s definitely surprising lets keep in mind the Pacers are the number one seed and they have home court advantage.

The Heat are back for game two in Indiana on Tuesday night.

Larry Leavitt on the Stanley Cup Playoffs: Habs third round with Rangers will have to be Priceless;Hawks establish 3rd round territory first

by Larry Leavitt

Chicago vs. Los Angeles: The Blackhawks in the opening game of the Western Conference Finals had a little more time to prepare for this battle than the Kings did. The Hawks were well rested and had their legs. The Kings on the other hand didn’t have their legs going for them, they didn’t have their skating speed, they weren’t as prepared as the Hawks were in the 3-1 loss.

The Kings should be ready for the next one at the United Center in Chicago, and you can best bet that this series will start in the next two or three games. The Untied Center is a tough building the fans are going to be loud and their always excited to have the Blackhawks and the Hawks have depth with talent.

If there is anything you can say about the Kings is you can never count them out, never, doesn’t matter how hard down they are, how many games out they are, the Kings seem to find a way to battle to get back into it.

They played into game seven and won it and went right into this series in Chicago with the Hawks. Where the Hawks had a few extra days off, it helped them with their health and their timing and their legs. You can never count the Kings out their going to be a tough opponent and this series should go six or seven games.

NY Rangers vs. Montreal: The New York Rangers came out prepared for the game at the Bell Centre on Saturday night but the Habs came out a little flat once they got behind and it’s like they never were going to catch up in game one.

The biggest hit to the Canadiens was their goaltender Carey Price who will be out this whole series. He got hurt in the previous series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Price is out with a knee injury and if the Habs move to the Finals it’s questionable at that juncture if Price might be back for that series.

The Canadiens after losing Carey have to regroup and have to start helping back up goalie Peter Budaj. Budaj was pelted with seven goals during Saturday night’s game one 7-2 loss and is back in net Tuesday night in game two. The defense has to step it up in front of him or the Habs are going to fold and have problems and certainly don’t want to drop the first two games at home going to New York for game three.

The Rangers are really riding a high right now, their getting hot at the right time, their rolling out their four lines, so game two is crucial for the Canadiens survival in this round.

That’s Amaury’s News and Commentary: CA Chrome’s goal for Triple Crown is taking the band aid approach

by Amaury Pi Gonzalez

ANAHEIM–This is great news for California Chrome that the New York Racing Association is allowing CA Chrome to wear a breathing strip for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday June 7th’s race in New York in his bid for a Triple Crown.

Chrome already the winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, will have the chance to win the Triple Crown and the last Triple Crown winner was back in 1978 when Affirmed won the Belmont and became the 11th horse in the history of the Triple Crown to do it.

This is great news that the NY Racing Association has approved the breathing strip for CA Chrome because according to the Association it does not enhance the horse nor does it harm the horse according to the ruling. There is now a very good chance that CA Chrome can win the Triple Crown and again you have to go back to some of those great horses who won the Triple Crown with Affirmed (1978), Seattle Slew (1977), and the most famous horse of them all Secretariat (1973).

The announcement on Monday is very good news for horse racing and let’s face it this is one of the very oldest sports that there is and the first Triple Crown winner was in 1919 won by Sir Barton. There are millions of people who are going to follow this race on June 7th around the world.

Horse racing is a huge business, it’s a humongous business, this is good news, and hopefully California Chrome can make history. This is great and with all the sports coverage with ESPN and FOX that has everything covered and horse racing is still going strong. I always get a kick out of these races and the races are only a couple of minutes long.

A’s are sizzling: The A’s are red hot after a successful series against Chicago at Oakland and sweeping Cleveland in three and now have a six game win streak going into Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.

On Friday the A’s Josh Reddick drove in six runs and Yoenis Cespedes drove in five runs on Sunday, and they go onto Tampa for a three game series. In Anaheim the Angels are very hot they’ve won eight out of the last ten games and are in second behind Oakland by three and half games.

The Angels took three out of four from Tampa Bay who have been very good and who had very good pitching from the Rays David Price. The Halos Albert Pujols hit two homers against Price, right now you have Oakland in first place and the second best record in the Majors.

Then you have the Angels just 3.5 games behind the A’s in the A.L.West and the Angels are playing very good ball. This will be a very interesting race. Texas and Seattle are falling behind. The Astros are in Anaheim for three games, but the A’s can’t be any hotter than this in Tampa Bay.

Breaking News: The Sacramento Rivercats are under consideration to become the San Francisco Giants Triple A minor league affiliate. The Rivercats are currently the A’s Triple A affiliate.

This would work well for the Giants because Sacramento is just a two and half hour drive from the City. Right now the Giants Triple A team is in Fresno which is a four hour drive to the City.

Minor League Baseball is very profitable, the Rivercats they’ve won for a bunch of years. The Cats are the best minor league organization in baseball. The Cats have a beautiful yard Raley Field right there by the Sacramento River.

The Giants are very interested in getting the Rivercats and the Rivercats are in a very good bargaining position. The A’s would love to stay with Sacramento of course and the Giants want to get the Rivercats.

So here’s a situation they might to try the Giants brand which is more popular right now since they have won two World Series in the last four years. So it would not be surprising if the Rivercats take the Giants because they’ve been with the A’s and have been very successful but the Giants would love to have the Rivercats and bump the A’s out of Sacramento for Triple A baseball.

That’s Amaury’s News and Commentary:Exclusive interview with Chicago rookie sensation Jose Abreu

by Amaury Pi Gonzalez

ANAHEIM–It is only the middle of May, but Cuban first baseman, and sometimes designated hitter for the Chicago White Sox, Jose Abreu has a large lead to win the 2014 American League Rookie of the Year. During the White Sox only visit to Oakland and prior to a game I sat down with Abreu and spoke with him.

Q: Coming from Cuba, a closed society type of government, where there are still no relations with the United States for over 50 years, this is the first time you are in the United States; what impressed you the most about the Major Leagues?

Abreu: “Everything, it is a great huge country, great people, and in baseball this is it, the Big Leagues, this is where everybody in the world that plays baseball aspires to be, I thank God for the opportunity and the privilege to let me do what I do, I am new here, but I hope I can keep helping this team the whole season, baseball has been my favorite thing to do all my life and I thank God for the privilege to play here”

Q: How do you feel about the new crop of Cuban players (like you) your friend Yoenis Cespedes and Yasiel Puig, Jose Fernandez and others that are now arriving and making the rosters of some of the teams here and having great success? (I mentioned to him the great Cuban born star still working for the White Sox Orestes(Minnie) Minoso?

Abreu: “First of all, I like to thank the older Cuban players that opened the way for us,and in one way or the other are responsible for our success, in the case in my team Alexei Ramirez Dayan, and others, it is great to see many players here that are coming from my country, I feel good about all the Cuban players that today are having the great results here in the big leagues and they have to maintain a very strong mind, because there are going to be highs and lows during the whole season, you have to be strong in your head”.

Q: Are you still in touch with the Cuban players, and families of the Cuban players that you know and that are still left in Cuba?

Abreu: “No, not with the players, because of the regime there and, you know, I do not want to give them any problems, but with some of their families and friends, yes, I am in contact with then everyday and they are very happy with my success”

Q: You had great success so far, but what do you think you still need to work to polish your skills?

A: “I have to work every day, as far as my hitting, trying to correct my weaknesses and my mistakes, I am working on some of my holes when I come to the plate, but most of all we have to keep our mind strong and believe on what I can do”

Q: You have a very smooth but powerful swing. Who taught you that swing?

Abreu: “Believe me, that is something that I had to learned by myself. But my father was the most responsible for that, because since I was a little kid in Cuba my father would fill a bag (java) and filled it with rocks, and he also gave me a small piece of wood, and I would hit those rocks, day after day after day, and told me about my swing my swing my swing”.

Q: When you got here to the Oakland Coliseum, first thing you did is talk with Yoenis Cespedes, are you guys good friends?

Abreu: “Yes, we are good friends, we knew each other from the Cuban leagues, we spoke about a lot of things, especially the baseball played here at the parks, the cities, everything. He is a very good friend and I am happy he is doing very well here with Oakland”

Abreu is a very inquisitive guy, he noticed my 1989 A’s World Series Championship ring and asked me, “Is that one of the rings from here?” I replied: “Yes, that is my 1989 World Series Championship ring” He replied” “Very nice”, and asked me if this ring was from the days of the names of the players listed on the upper deck at the Coliseum”. I said yes, those are some of the great Oakland Athletics players in the history of the team and I told him I also have the 1988 and 1990 rings of the A’s. He smiled and said “muy bueno” “very good”.

Abreu hit two home runs in the three game series at the Oakland Coliseum, and the last of the two marked his 15th home runs of the season. A majestic shot, three run homer in the eight inning and the White Sox snapped a four game losing streak, as they beat the Athletics 4-2. His shot to left field was his 15th home run of the season. The Cuban rookie slugger is the fourth player in major league history to hit 15 home runs in his first 42 games. joining Wally Berger, Kevin Mass and Wally Joyner.

As we said good bye and I wished him good luck, he smiled and told me one of his wishes is for all the Cuban players to get together in Miami, for just a fun game and memories. I told him that was a great idea, he replied: “Lo haremos ya veras” ‘We will do it, you will see”.

Kings downtown arena: Crucial City Hall vote on Kings arena Tuesday night at 5pm

by Jerry Feitelberg

The Sacramento City Council will decide on approving plans for a new downtown arena at Downtown Plaza mall on Tuesday night at Sacramento City Hall. The mall is now currently vacant with former merchants who moved out in preparation of construction to tear down old retail buildings in place of the new Sacramento Kings arena but first a vote must take place and it all gets underway on Tuesday night.

The Kings and the city plan to spend upwards to $90 million in the next five months on reconfiguring the mall for the arena. Once the vote has been finalized on Tuesday night the Kings plan to start work at the mall on Wednesday by intitially turning off the water and electricity at the east end of the mall.

The total cost of the arena development is estimated at $477 million with major demolition starting in July. Although the Kings have spent almost half the costs towards the arena the property will be owned by the city. The City is in for $255 million of the costs and the Kings share is $222 million.

$16 million of the land is going to be transferred to the city from the Kings, while the city will own the land the Kings will run the arena and the corporate enterprise of the Kings basketball business, according to Sacramento City Assistant Manager John Dangberg.

The Kings according to the agreement that will be submitted to the City Council on Tuesday night will receive a interest free loan of $12 million that will cover various permits that are required by the city. The parcel land that was Macy’s Men’s store near the Holiday Inn that sits near the middle of Old Sacramento and the mall will be demo’d and the team is expected to spend around $4.3 million on the Macy’s building that was forced into sale through eminent domain.

The City Council made one change in the financial figures that must be approved, the city is expected to approve a ten day waiting requirment because the agreement is in excess of $1 million. Danberg believes he has enough votes from the city council to get the ten day waiver. If the council does not vote to approve the ten day requirment then the project will still move forward and the one change on the agreement will be delayed according to Dangberg.

The City Council will hear all arguments for and against the new arena on Tuesday at City Hall and that seating for the Council meeting will allow 200 capacity in the chambers and overflow for the meeting will be seated outside of the building located on the second level at Old City Hall short circuit TV will allow the overflow crowd to view the meeting. The city will make sure that fair access to tickets to the meeting will be allotted to both parties for and against the project.

A vote will be taken after both sides have finished speaking at which the vote results will be announced. It’s expected that the City Council will vote overwhelmingly in favor of the arena.

NBA Conference Finals report: Spurs have experience but OKC has Westbrook;LeBron-Heat will be handful for Pacers

by Daivd Zizmor

San Antonio vs. Oklahoma: The Spurs took out the Trailblazers in the second round four games to one and that’s what was expected. The Spurs are just on another level than Portland and while the Blazers have some very good young players they’re very inexperienced in the post season and throughout NBA history these are teams that are young with freshlegs.

The Trailblazers will need some experience to find their way into the finals and the Blazers are a team that’s on the way up. Michael Jordan took three or four tries before he won his title, the Blazers have the pieces in place to be a competitive team for several years.

San Antonio is a team that has won multiple championships, they’ve been in the playoffs every year forever and their a fantastic team with players that are in the twilights of their careers their still a fantastic team. All credit to guys like Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and also their great coach Gregg Poppovich whose going to be in the Hall of Fame someday.

The match up which starts on Monday night with the Oklahoma Thunder and the Spurs who are the top two teams in the west. These two teams that have met in the post season in the last couple of years has been in a big battle and it was so for OKC last season when Russell Westbrook got hurt in the playoffs.

Westbrook didn’t play against the Spurs and that was a huge loss and Westbrook is one of the best players in the league at his point guard position. Westbrook is a leader on that OKC team and to not have him against the Spurs was a big loss last year. This post season he’s healthy, he’s back and OKC should give the Spurs a great series starting Monday night.

Indiana vs. Miami: The Indiana Pacers suddenly flipped the switch and are playing very well in these playoffs after strugging in the first round against the Atlanta Hawks and in the second round they got by the Washington Wizards winning that series 4-2.

They didn’t look fantastic, they had plenty moments of weakness the big difference was the Pacers Roy Hibbert was finally playing like Roy Hibbert and he was back to scoring. The Hawks in that first round had somehow figured out a magic potion to nuetralize the Pacers and Hibbert woke up against Washington and did a fantastic job all series including scoring 11 points to help the Pacers beat the Wizard 93-80 in game six on Thursday night.

After the first game when the Wiz knocked the Pacers around 102-96 the Pacers woke up and came to life and took the series in six games. The Pacers are a team that can compete with Miami and we’ve seen them do it several times this season. We saw them do it in the conference finals last year it’s just that Indiana has been lousy for the last few months.

It’s tough to feel confident that they can hang with the Heat, the Pacers have been playing a little bit better but the Heat have had a chance to rest up after really dispatching with the Nets pretty quickly. The Heat are so good on top of being the World Champions and having the best player on the planet in LeBron James. The Heat will be prepared for Indiana and game one is scheduled for Sunday night in Indiana.

NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs commentary: NY and Habs open up in Montreal Sat;Kings and Ducks for all the marbles tonight

by Larry Leavitt

Montreal vs. NY Rangers: The Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban is a great example of what a defenseman in the NHL is all about, in years past their have been big defensemen who have stepped up and made a difference in the playoffs and winning the Stanley Cup. Which for example former Chicago’s Dustin Byfuglien he was a defenseman that scored a lot of goals and played big in the playoffs.

The Canadiens Max Pacioretty he was kind of quiet the beginning of the second round but he really woke up near the end and he was taking some poundings but it didn’t let it bother him and that’s the difference of these teams. Some of the physicality was starting to bother some of these people and it got them off their game.

If the NHL had to put their dream match up together for the TV markets it would be Montreal or Toronto and those are the two huge markets in Canada and any of the New York teams. That’s the media, that’s the heart of the USA and for Canada. The NHL is probably loving this match up.

It’s good hockey teams playing good hockey teams, it’s been a long time since there has been a hockey team to come out of Canada to represent the country. Team Canada has won the gold medal in the Olympics in the last two years. That’s given them a little taste of the stuff that could happen.

Anaheim vs. Los Angeles: As you watch these two teams you can watch the bounce of the puck, you can see the pucks bouncing one way for one team and not the other. Whoever is going to take those lucky breaks is going to win this series.

These two teams are so evenly matched, the talent levels, you might see a lot of pucks off the posts that go wide or you see guys wide open and the puck bounces over his stick you know the puck is really not going that way.

In this series you would have to give the edge to the Kings on Friday night in this game seven. They’ve been in that situation so many times, more than Anaheim in the past. Either way this is going to be a good hockey game at the Honda Center. It’s going to be tight.

The key to game seven is to stay out of the penalty box. You don’t want to give your team any disadvantage and that’s when the hitting gets pulled back a little you don’t want to take those penalties, you want to stay on your game and play more of a defensive game. The winner of this series plays the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL Western Conference Finals.

Michael Duca on A’s and Giants:Giants Blanco stole three and scored three; Sox Abreu bringing up average

by Michael Duca

Giants update: The Giants are performing up to their own expectations but above other teams right now. Gregor Blanco on Wednesday stole three bases and scored three runs to help the Giants in their 10-4 laugher over the Braves. Blanco had been hitting .150 all season.

The Giants seem to hit good pitching better than they hit bad pitching, and not that the Braves pitcher Mike Minor is not a bad pitcher but he came away with a 4.24 ERA and shut the Giants out on Tuesday. Then you get the Braves pitcher Julio Teheran whose ERA is 2.20 on Wednesday.

Teheran got lit up on Wednesday and threw for 40 pitches in the first innning and Blanco walked and stole two bases and came home and wound up stealing a third base later in the game and that set the tone. They were going to be as miserably hot and still as energy sapping as it was yesterday the Giants had the plan to be patient, and grinding it out their at bats they just didn’t impose their will on the Braves on Wednesday.

The Giants have beaten the Braves five out six games this year and the Giants can gaurantee that when the season is over nobody would have done that.

A’s update: The White Sox won their first game at the Colisuem on Wednesday for the first time since 2012. The Sox complied a seven game loss streak against the A’s in Coliseum visits but ended it with a 4-2 win. The Sox Jose Abreu has been making big contact with the ball of late and hit out his 15th to help beat the A’s.

The Sox brought this kid out of Cuba and their are 29 other teams that are seeing Abreu and wondering “why didn’t we go get this guy?” He already in the short span of a month and half has 15 home runs. Abreu loves hittting at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago because it’s a hitters ball park.

The way the Sox won in Oakland on Wednesday was not cheap it was a three run shot and Abreu hit it up the staircase in left field and help give the Sox a two run win. Abreu has just shown that there is really no adjustment period for him in the show. He learned how Major League pitchers are going to pitch him, Abreu has not scuffled or struggled at all at the plate he’s now hitting .271.

Larry Leavitt on the Stanley Cup Playoffs: Ducks could put away Kings tonite;Hawks move to third round;Canadiens tough task in Boston;Rangers set for next round

by Larry Leavitt

Anaheim vs. Los Angeles: The Ducks are playing all the right cards right now, they’ve put in this new goaltender John Gibson who gets the shutout in his first game in game four for a 2-0 win and then does really well in his second game in game five with a 4-3 win. The pucks are really bouncing well for the Ducks after being down 2-0 they have come back on the Kings to push them to the brink 3-2.,

Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau is looking really smart with this goalie change, and it has the Ducks Mathieu Perreault saying about Boudreau “(he) makes us believe.” The first game the Kings goalie Jonathan Quick got really lucky in the in the 3-2 OT win and there was a lot of open net and the Ducks weren’t able to bury the puck.

It’s not they didn’t deserve to win but they sure had a lot of lucky bounces against the Ducks in those first two games to win. On any given night any team can beat each other, it’s as simple as that, the talent is there obviously for the Kings. The determination is there it’s the break and the bounce of the puck and it’s not from a lack of trying. Niether of these teams are giving up and who knows this can turn into a seven game series.

Minnesota vs. Chicago: The Wild who were eliminated on Tuesday night by the Blackhawks in the series 4-2 and you have to give the Wild credit the Wild were more gutsy, they played hard. There’s a lot of borderline history with the Wild and Hawks and there is so much history. It’s hard to continually to defend that team and Chicago came out and showed their strength.

Montreal vs. Boston: This is one of the most exciting two teams in the playoffs that were going to see. There is no doubt in my mind, the Bruins fought hard and had a lot of zone time in game six but Montreal really wanted that game and won it on a 4-0 shutout and really hunger and drive put all their effort into it.

There was a lot of chippiness at the end, the Bruins were trying to intimidate the Candadiens and send them a little message “come to our house in Boston, the next game isn’t going to be as easy as you think” the officials are going to call a tighter game and nobody wants to get into penalty trouble in a game seven where one goal can be the difference in your season.

It’s hopeful that calmer heads prevail and they have a good game and that the cheapshots are done with and in game seven it’s going to a clean game and it will be all about the winner of the series. Canadiens goaltender Carey Price got pretty lucky as a couple of shots hit the post and a goalie’s best friend is when the shot goes upwards instead of outwards and doesn’t go in.

NY Rangers vs. Penguins: The Penguins really imploded somewhat in the same way the Sharks did, the Pens had a 3-1 series lead get away and the Rangers won games five, six and seven to win the series. The difference was the Pens captain Sydney Crosby who was totally drawn off his game he was thrown off as far as the punishment he was taking in the shots and he was not handling it well.

Crosby was retailiating and his teammates were retaliating and once they got Crosby and the Pens going they took them out of their game. The Penguins were never back in this series after game four’s loss. The Rangers played a very strong game right around the death of the Rangers Martin St.Louis’ mother around Mother’s day.

The Rangers rallied around St.Louis and they played it for him in the game seven win 2-1 over the Pens. St.Louis was kind of a spark for a team that really didn’t need a spark. It was just a little added attention and it doesn’t surprise that the Rangers that extra push was made for St.Louis and for the series clincher.

That’s Amaury’s News and Commentary: Even with a LeBron boycott it will be legally difficult to kick out Sterling

by Amaury Pi Gonzalez

OAKLAND–LeBron James said on Wednesday that he will not play next season if the LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling refuses to sell the team. It gives this story a really interesting angle as LeBron is the biggest star in the universe not only in the NBA but in all sports. I really don’t understand this and I really think they should let things go the way their going to go.

Sterling apologized in an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN but this is headed to being litagated and Sterling’s wife whose part owner of the team is also planning to fight and will not relinquish her share of the team. This story has a lot of legs and LeBron saying he won’t play won’t help the situation. The NBA has more tapes of Sterling talking and they have more proof.

Regarding the NBA by laws and that Sterling violated a lot of them and if that’s the case he might have to sell. I have written and have spoken on the radio and said I don’t think he should be forced to sell, I don’t think a person that owns the team can be forced to sell because he’s a racist. The NBA has proof of what he said and that they want him out.

LeBron James doesn’t help matters by saying he’ll boycott next season but no matter Sterling is going to fight and the Clippers are a private enterprise, it’s their business and they pay their taxes and they haven’t committed any crimes and they can’t take their business away. I never heard of that, that’s not the laws of this country but again the NBA by laws might have teeth and they might know something that people don’t know.

LeBron is just reacting right now, yes everybody wants Sterling out but it may not be enough legally because everybody like you and I want him out and they might try to force him to sell and that’s another story and it’s going to the courts and it will be settled there.

Magic Johnson has had his share of air time in the Sterling controversy, and Magic says he wants to buy the Clippers. Why does Magic need to get involved with another team ? Magic knows he’s huge in L.A. and he owns a chain of Magic Theaters and he’s part owner of the Dodgers.

I don’t know what Magic needs? Does he need the limelight that much? Is his ego that big? I’m starting to worry about all these guys who want to buy the Clippers and boxer Oscar DeLaHoya wants to buy the Clippers too. This whole thing is becoming a circus.

Sterling is being ridiculized in the court of public opinon and half of this country is against him. Still isn’t that enough to make Sterling sell the team? We’re going to have to let it play out in the court of law. Legally I don’t think they can make him sell the team in that case it would set a legal presidence.
