Sacramento A’s Relocation Daniel Dullum podcast:
#1 Daniel, former Major League pitcher Chan Ho Park and K Pop star Suga have both invested in the Athletics. Both Park and Suga invested $70 million into the A’s and will be minority owners of the Athletics.
#2 A’s owner John Fisher had been looking for investors to help pay the construction costs for the Vegas ballpark. The cost was running at $1.75 billion but Fisher recently said he was looking at a $2 billion price tag.
#3 With Suga and Park now stepping into the picture and if Fisher can close the sale of his MLS team the San Jose Earthquakes that should cover the remaining balance of the construction costs. His asking price for the Earthquakes is $600 million.
#4 Park’s involvement in the A’s is part of the better part of bridging Korean baseball with MLB and the Athletics. Currently there are four active Korean players in Major League baseball and Park’s investment will give Korean baseball development that much more of a lift.
#5 With the shovels in the ground and Fisher getting investment help from Park and Suga and the future sale of the Earthquakes it all looks like the A’s are signed sealed and delivered for Vegas.
