#1 Michael, wanted to open the podcast starting with huge news regarding the Oakland A’s Howard Terminal ballpark proposal and the Las Vegas relocation fee being dropped by MLB. We’ll start with the vote that is scheduled for this Thursday with the Bay Conservation Development Commission. The A’s need a two thirds vote to get to the step in building the ball park project at Jack London Square talk earlier has it that the A’s could get the two thirds vote.
#2 On the other hand MLB has agreed this week to drop the relocation fees for the Oakland A’s and Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft and the A’s have their eye on the Resort Corridor location near the Mirage and Stratosphere just off the Las Vegas Blvd strip. Did this announcement of dropping the relocation fees and the A’s looking to move to Vegas put pressure on the Bay Conservation group to vote two thirds and help towards making Howard Terminal a possibility?
#3 The Sacramento Kings Keegan Murray met with the media who is the No.4 pick out of the 2022 NBA draft. Murray had been followed by the Kings in practices and summer games. The Kings had their eye on Murray and Tuesday they signed him to a $16 million two year deal with a four year option that could earn him upwards to $35 million if he maxes out the deal.
#4 Meanwhile will the Golden State Warriors be able to sign free agent Kevon Looney. In free agency he would be able to get between $6-$7 million a year but after being on a World Championship team he could have an asking offer upwards to $10 million.
