The Aces took control of the game in the 2nd quarter and never looked back in a 99-78 win over the Connecticut Sun at the IMG Bubble in Bradenton, FL.

Guard Kayla McBride led the Aces with 25 points, while forward A’ja Wilson added 21.

“This was a very important win for us coming off the loss to Chicago,” said head coach Bill Laimbeer. “Overall, it was important to get this win tonight.”

Wilson has scored in double figures in all 12 games this season.

“When people know what they are to do and they are in their roles, it makes it all work into our system,” said Wilson.  “When everyone is playing well, that’s when you see the best of the Aces.”

Las Vegas has responded well this season after a loss, going 3-0.

“It’s part of being a professional athlete,” said Wilson. “We know that we have to go back to the drawing board, learn from it and then play.”

The Aces will next take on a tough stretch of their schedule in which they will play the league leading Seattle Storm in two of their next three games.

“We are looking forward to playing Seattle,” said Laimbeer. “It is going to be a measuring stick for us, seeing where we are at this point in the season.”

With the win, Las Vegas improved to 9-3 on the season and remain in second place in the standings.
