Aces secure second place with sixth straight win, 87-77

A’ja Wilson and Angel McCoughtry combined for 44 points in an 87-77 win over the Minnesota Lynx at the IMG Bubble in Bradenton, FL.

Wilson bounced back from a rough game on Tuesday against Indiana in which she scored just 12 points while shooting 5 for 17.  Tonight, Wilson scored 23.

The Aces went on an 8-2 run at the end of the first quarter and never trailed after that.

McCoughtry scored 21 points, while Kayla McBride added 17 and Jackie Young dropped 16.

Las Vegas improved to 7-2 on the season and took over sole possession of second place, one game behind the first place Seattle Storm.

The Aces will have one day off before playing the Washington Mystics on Saturday.   Las Vegas beat the Mystics back on August 5th, 83-77.
